3/26/19 Following up after my bad experience at this spa I just wanted everyone to know that after reaching out to the spa about my bad experience, i asked if there was any chance i could get my money back from my facial, which costed $150. I said you can keep the rest of the massage money and the tips, but I think I deserve my money back, and I was very friendly about it, never was yelling or angry, just explaining why. They followed up by telling me that they meant to reach out but didn't after reading my review. To put it shortly, they said they would give me a PERCENTAGE of my facial if I took down THIS REVIEW that I wrote. I said that is basically bribery and that people have the right to know my experience and so I said no. I even reached out to other spaarsh spas to try and get a hold of the owners but never heard anything back. Do you see a message below my review from them? Neither do I. And I work in retail. Not a good establishment and bad customer service.
2/22/19 Won't be returning. I've had my fair share of massages and facials over the years and I was trying to find a place that seemed different than most traditional spas and I thought this was it but was very disappointed. It isnt a spa environment, you dont have your belongings in a locker or anything like that. I ended up getting both a massage and a bio light facial. The massage was just okay, after I got done I was told I was moving to a different room for my facial so to put on a robe and then grab my belongings to bring with me. I asked if I could leave them in that room instead of having to carry everything around with me and was told no and again in a robe naked underneath carrying around all my clothes and purse. Then the esthetician for my facial didnt seem to be too professional. She didnt explain what anything was that she was putting on my face or what it did, I had to ask and then when she took products off my face basically was scraping so hard on my skin. I've never had any esthetician rub so hard on my face before to get products off. The noise in that room from the smoothie shop next door was so loud and not relaxing at all and I was told there was nothing they could do about the noise. Plus she wasnt prepared and I could hear her tearing open boxes and squeezing products out of the packages and onto my face. Very odd. No spa I've ever experienced before that's for sure. I love facials and massages but not from this place. And then was pressed to buy products that they used on me during my facial when I didnt know what anything did, $ 150 facial. I've been to many other spas and should've gone back to those others but thought as a bday present to myself I'll try a new place and I regret it. $200 down the drain. I wouldnt recommend this place...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews I was so excited to book a couples massage for my boyfriend and I for his birthday getaway that I had planned their in charlotte nc, so I go online to check prices despite what browser I'm using, things should line up so I book a couples massage for the 2 of us and it totals $180.00, I see the reviews says upscale so I'm really excited. From my view of the website its 180.00 for a regular massage and either a foot exfoliation or scalp treatment (or something of that nature) that came with it. Low and behold when we get their its just a small space in between and amongst other business ,so I'm still looking for the upscale part of this place(you know, considering the reviews), and as much as they charge maybe even some wine of sort or something, just basic. Well we get done with the massages and they tell us to get dressed. I'm like what happen to the other part so I asked up front and she proceeds to tell me that its the way my browser is set up that the 180.00 is just for the massage only. I'm like maam this is a rip off. This massage wasnt better than any 65 massage I've ever gotten. I don't normally do reviews but this one I had to because the people writing the reviews about this place is definitely overrating this place. Its excessively overpriced for the services offered. I am a very honest person and I will never go here again. The moral of the story is I paid 186.00 for 2 "super...
Read moreI don’t wanna get any particular workers in trouble so not going to say my real name or date of this, but several months ago my partner and I went in for a couples massage training session. The instructor kept talking about religion and making my partner and I uncomfortable. I understand that the massage training requires more talking than a standard massage, but the conversation was wildly inappropriate. It started out innocent enough with talking about how it would be nice for us to find a stable home church. But it snowballed into explaining to my non religious partner that the end of times are near and how the masseuse had dreams recently of angels coming down and fire raining down and killing non believers, which very much upset my girlfriend. In addition, we were asked when we were getting married or having kids multiple times which was not appropriate.
There needs to be a training or clear instructions to your workers on what is appropriate workplace talk and what is not.
Edit: in response to the owner’s comment, I find it a big red flag that you seem to not believe my experience and that you are blaming me, and basically suggesting I should have stopped the massage and walked out. I was on a date, and trying to make the most of it. I absolutely find it fair to leave this review so that other know what they might be getting into. And I still suggest that you speak with employees about appropriate conversations...
