I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aroma Indian Grill & Bar, the newest Indian fine dining establishment in town, and I must say it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, the inviting ambiance and the warm, aromatic scents set the stage for an evening of culinary delight.
The restaurant's interior is tastefully decorated, combining modern elegance with subtle Indian influences. The lighting is just right, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere that complements the overall dining experience. The attention to detail in the decor adds a touch of sophistication, making Aroma Indian Grill an ideal choice for a special night out or a celebration.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Aroma Grill takes traditional Indian cuisine to new heights with a menu that showcases a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The chef's expertise is evident in every dish, demonstrating a deep understanding of the rich culinary heritage while incorporating innovative twists.
We started our culinary journey with the appetizers, and the Dragon chicken was a true standout. Each bite was a burst of flavors, leaving us eagerly anticipating the courses to come.
For the main course, we indulged in a variety of dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations. The Butter Chicken was velvety smooth, with a luscious tomato-based gravy that had us reaching for more naan to savor every drop. The Hyderabad chicken Biryani was aromatic and flavorful, the rice cooked to perfection and the tender lamb infused with a delightful blend of spices.
Aroma Indian Grill also offers an impressive selection of vegetarian options too
The service at Aroma Indian Grill was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who guided us through the menu and made excellent recommendations. The waitstaff's passion for the cuisine and commitment to providing a memorable dining experience truly enhanced our visit.
In conclusion, Aroma Indian Grill is a welcome addition to the fine dining scene, offering a refined and delightful take on Indian cuisine. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian flavors or new to the cuisine, Aroma Indian Grill is sure to impress with its delectable dishes, inviting ambiance, and exceptional service. I look forward to returning and exploring more of the culinary treasures this establishment...
Read moreFirst of all, the food was phenomenal. I’m not well versed in Indian cuisine, but the flavor and quality of the food were excellent in my opinion. The atmosphere in the dining room seemed nice, but we were not able to sit there and sat on the patio, which is brighter and less cozy.
The service can definitely use some work, and I am completely validated in feeling this way after reading other reviews. We are very simple and low maintenance customers. Our waiter was not very helpful in explaining any of the items on the menu. He just pointed at a couple of things and said that they were popular. They got us drinks and then seemingly disappeared for an incredibly long time. Quite some time later a different member of the wait staff took our order and had more knowledge of the menu. So it seems that there’s significant inconsistency in the attentiveness, knowledge, conscientiousness, and empathy of the wait staff, especially towards customers that have a limited knowledge of Indian cuisine. There seemed to be a complete lack of presence during the meal. If you need anything (like some more water) you will probably need to get out of your seat and find someone. That’s just not up to the standard for what a restaurant should provide. The original waiter showed back up when it was time to get the check. I hope the restaurant will find this constructive criticism helpful in advancing their business. I want this restaurant to be great and thrive because, like I said, the food was truly excellent. I think these shortcomings can be fixed with modest effort. We will definitely be back, and I sincerely hope that next time I can give them a strong 5 star review.
Update: changed to 5 stars based on recent experience. Service was excellent and atmosphere was great. Food was once again consistently incredible. Highly recommend...
Read moreVijayawada Boneless Biryani (2/5) - I ordered the Vijayawada Boneless Biryani, but it feel short of expectations. The uneven size of chicken pieces were coated with uneven amounts of masala not sticking to the pieces, and the flavor hadn’t infused well into the meat or gravy. The biryani rice had an unexpectedly strong cumin presence, and the accompanying ‘Vijayawada sauce’ didn’t match the authentic flavor. The dish feels like a reimagined recipe without sufficient knowledge of the original. With improvements to these aspects, the experience could be greatly enhanced.
Shrimp Sukka (2.8/5)- The shrimp was overly soft, lacking the expected texture of prawns. It might be more accurately described as ‘Tawa Roast Shrimp’ rather than ‘Sukka’ to better reflect its preparation style ($15)
Tandoori Pomfret (4.2/5) - I ordered the Tandoori Pomfret with a medium spice level but found the seasoning to be quite mild, leaning more towards a buttery texture than the expected masala flavor. While the fish was fresh, the portion size felt small compared to the price($20).
Apricot Delight - (4.1/5) I ordered the Apricot Delight, but found it disappointing. The top layer was overly soft with too much gelatin, while the middle sponge cake layer was quite thin. The apricot paste on the bottom layer was minimal, resulting in a dessert that did not deliver the full apricot flavor as described on the menu. The name and description were somewhat misleading, as the overall taste and texture didn’t meet expectations. Boxing also needs to be changed (see vismai Food YouTube channel how to...
