On Saturday, Feb. 15th, I was treated to take out dinner from Viva Chicken at RedStone. I fell in love with the rice! It was delicious, "separated" and perfect fried rice. 2 Days later on Tues. Feb 17th, I returned to this location and bought a large fried rice for $10.40 (after tax). When I got home, the rice tasted old, was dry and all clumped together. It tasted NOTHING like the delicious fried rice I had eaten the Saturday before. I spoke to Alexandra the next morning on Wed. Feb 18th about this nasty rice. She said to come in and she would make me a fresh one. When I got there later, I was told that Alexandra was not there to help me. The cashier that helped argued with me about the size that I had bought the night before, and tried to convince me that a smaller size was what I purchased. SHE WAS NOT THERE the night before. At my insistence, she finally gave me the large size that I had paid $10.40 for. Didn't like her "impatient rushed up pushy attitude" at all. Frustrated, after leaving, I tasted the rice and it was THE SAME DISAPPOINTING rice.... AGAIN! It tasted nothing like the rice that was bought on the previous Saturday evening. How the meal on Saturday could be delicious and then 2 days later the same food was nasty. I will never ever eat at this location again! WHOEVER the cook was on Saturday NEEDS TO COOK THE RICE ALL OF THE TIME. DISAPPOINTED. I could have cooked better rice at home for less...
Read moreThe chicken was delicious. It was flavorful and juicy and Delicious. But it is something that my mom would make. The Yuca fries, were exceptional. And their fried rice was the best I've ever eaten in my life and I'm not kidding. It puts all Asian restaurants to shame. And I'm serious as hell when I say this, I will never get fried rice anywhere except from this place. I swear to God. I bought the quarter chicken meal which consisted of a leg and a thigh connected, and two sides. It came with a mild yellow sauce which was tasty but very mild. Next time I think I'm going to order the green sauce, and work my way up to the hot red sauce. All in all it was a tasty meal. But I think a bit pricey for 20 plus dollars for an individual meal. One thing that I did enjoy was the fact that they sell Inca kola, which tastes a lot like bubble gum, and used to be the countries beverage of choice until Coca-Cola bought them out. All in all I would give this an 8 and 1/2, possibly a nine. If it wasn't for the price I would give it a 10. But yeah it was really good! Sorry, I forgot to add, the staff was incredibly friendly and courteous and cordial, and I got my food so fast I didn't catch anybody's names, but very nice and professional. And I ordered takeout so I didn't sit in the restaurant but from what I could see,the restaurant was immaculate and clean. I'm definitely coming back to this place. Goodbye McDonald's goodbye...
Read moreFood is good but like I used to work for viva chicken back in 2018 and I noticed they changed the sandwich’s name from “the great “ to “rotisserie chicken sandwich” .. I get it in wrap form and add white meat, remove the lettuce, add provolone , bacon & avocado( which was part brown ) and I swear there wasn’t bacon added but by the point I noticed I was already out of the restaurant and down the road.. ugh :/ I noticed they also changed their sun dried tomato wrap to a different and smaller one I could tell by the color but the main point is the fries portion was so smalll like wow 0_0 they must be down bad! So much grease from the fries that my wrap was super soggy with grease since it went through the wrapping.. yuck 🤢 $21 without a drink for one incomplete meal!! I see why they have plates now, they must be noticing people splitting meals as I saw a lady ask for one while I was ordering for her and her daughter. It’s cheaper splitting an adult meal then getting her a kids meal.. Crazy stuff!!! I’m reluctant on visiting another viva chicken in the future based off of what I received.. I see why they are branching out to other businesses since their partnership with the firebirds dude there has been many bad changes.. eco friendly.. gone! Silverware and plates that have to be washed .. GROSS! the basket with the paper is a distant memory.. and I guess so are the...
