First off, I am filled with overwhelming gratitude to the staff of Tyndall Furniture: Shirley Hendrix, John Dixon, and Zo. They were so incredible and such a cohesive unit in helping me with the purchase of a new mattress and delivery that very same day. (I was very fortunate in that everything aligned that way that day.) this is a long review but for good reason
Shirley asked plenty of questions to tailor my needs to their selections and surprised me with her 1st suggestion which was different than what had been looking at/researching, yet wound up being the bed that fit me so beautifully. There was no rush, no pressure, just patience. She was very compassionate especially knowing that I was hurting so badly. As she continued to engage with me, I'd realized that had been on the mattress for over 10 minutes with no pain anywhere. (I'm a stomach sleeper which makes it doubly hard and always felt discomfort very quickly when previously trying mattresses.) I still continued to test out other ones, but my body was so comfortable on the 1st selection, the TyndallPedic Ballantyne model. She tallied up the full amount, discussed payment options, and when delivery could be expected.
This is the added part that humbled me even more so with the Tyndall experience. John came into the mix helping Shirley figure out some extra timing logistics, reached out to the warehouse, and even suggested the possibility of same day. I was blessed in that Zo in the warehouse/shipping/delivery division was able to add my delivery onto their schedule for that day. (I happened to be near their existing route and they were able to wait for my financing to finish through.)
This was a full cooperative experience with everyone helping along the way to make it happen. They all worked together which impressed me twice as much. Side note, this is my 2nd time purchasing mattresses from Tyndall, with the 1st experience buying mattresses for my sons eight years ago, and based upon a high recommendation from a coworker who also bought from Tyndall.
As a final note, my body had initially been in excruciating pain that kept intensifying for months to the point that I wondered if could continue in my career which is a very physical job. I had checked everything in my life and couldnt figure out why, until my boss suggested it might be my mattress. Fast forward to now. It has been the most amazing freeing feeling to wake without pain and to sleep through the night after sleeping on this new mattress for the past week....
Read moreMy husband and I had an absolutely horrible experience here 2 1/2 years ago! We purchased $6,000. Worth of leather recliners plus an extended warranty; we were led to believe that the furniture was 100% leather and that the warranty did not even cover normal wear and tear! There were tears and rips in the “leather” around the sides of the cushion on which I daily sat, as well as on the footrest. It took me 6 months of emails and phone calls to get someone here to do the repairs, and it wasn’t until that time when the repairman told me that most 100% “leather” furniture was not really 100% at all! Our furniture was crafted on the four sides of each cushion with some type of artificial leather! He spent about 4 hours replacing the entire cushion with a completely new one that was complete leather everywhere! I wish I could say that that was the end of our furniture mishap, but unfortunately, it was not. A few months later, the sides of the cushion immediately to my left began ripping and tearing in multiple places, and I called the warranty department again. The repairman they sent out this time was a different one, and all he did to “fix” the tears was to spray the cushion side with alcohol and place a self-adhesive imitation leather strip onto the side. Here it is, 6 months later, and the strip is pulling off, exposing the original tears! The purpose of this email is to state our great displeasure with:
Being misled about the furniture which we purchased and about the extended warranty, which I was told would not cover normal wear and tear! Come on, people, $6000 furniture should NEVER wear this quickly, and we should have been informed at the outset that the sides were imitation leather!
Tyndall Furniture should not use faulty repairmen who charge $200 for a piece of imitation leather tape that will not last the lifetime of the furniture, which it appears is not very long anyway!
We could not be more dissatisfied with Tyndal Furniture, and just want everyone to know that one doesn’t always get what they pay for! We will never...
Read moreSo my husband was recently diagnosed with degenerative disk disease and he's only in his early 40's. It can be quite painful at times. His chiropractor recommended he try switching his mattress out (as we had a spring mattress which is not the best to have for those with back issues) to a Tyndallpedic mattress. We were told they were the best on the market. We thought we'd give it a shot and check it out. As soon as we walked into the Tyndall Furniture store I was impressed with the quality and selection of their furniture. As we walked our way to the back of the store to the mattress room, we discovered they had a huge selection to choose from. They have something for everyone from plush, to firm. It took us a while to narrow it down. We finally decided on the IFOAM 4 mattress. My husband and I LOVE it. We have gotten the best nights sleep since having it! I also love and highly recommend the split adjustment option. It has a remote control for elevating your head, etc which is great if you like to read or watch TV before bed. We ended up deciding to purchase a couch from them as well. We found a plush sectional with remote control reclining, lumbar support for the back and memory foam. It even has a separate reclining/tilting option for the head which is separate from the legs. This couch is by far the most comfortable we've ever bought. Love it!! I also love the lumbar support for my husband. It is generously plush and wide seating, extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend Tyndall Furniture for all your furniture and mattress needs. The customer service was great and you can't beat the quality and pricing of...
