I took my elderly dad back to this store to exchange a product that looked like someone opened it and put their fingers in it. The owner was very nice and said no problem go to the register. We go to the register and the cashiers needed to call the manager āhectorā to process approve the exchange. This is when it when downhill! Hector decided to argue and say they are all like that, even though we inspected two bottles that were not like that. He said to us that Jewish people are delicate and thatās when I became upset! Without even knowing my faith, I told him that he cannot say that ever, especially as a manager of any establishment! I told him you donāt know what I believe in or my familyās ethnicity! I said just exchange and go away. When we were leaving I saw him standing outside with the manager and proceeded to re-educate him because this is not right. I said again you donāt know anything about anyone you canāt say that kind of stuff. He said he will and would do it again! Iām like omg what is going on are you serious. I even told him what next are you going to say something about my biracial son who was with me and walked away! The owner who was nice in the beginning just stood their and allowed him to talk like this. Iām not sure if I can do anything more then educate him but for him to say he would do this again cannot happen. I will need to figure out a way for this not to happen. He never even apologized or took ownership which...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood variety of produce. Don't expect super high quality but it's certainly not low quality either (ex: Shoppers as opposed to Whole Foods). Has a parking lot with generally place to park. My biggest negative is it's pretty crowded inside. Which is good in some ways bc it means there are a lot of products available but it's a bit of a hassle maneuvering your cart around everyone else's, and ppl leaving their carts to quickly run to a differnt lane and get something else. It's not the end of the world but it's something I don't look forward to when going. Prices are great. Have other products in addition to produce - cookies, breads, spices , smoked fish, meats cheeses, milk, desserts - not every brand your thinking, it's usually one or 2 selections with only Russian on the packaging. So it's kind of a crapshoot sometimes trying to figure out exactly what the product is: if you are just looking at the pics on the packaging, or I guess you could ask a sales person but I haven't always had the easiest time trying to understand each other's languages with the questions and answers. Overall, though, I would DEFINITELY recommend this market. Great variety and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreQuality has changed over the years. I've been shopping there since around 2012 or so I just got cherry tomatoes on Thurs 8/8 by Sat 8/10, I was throwing 1/4 away by Monday the other 1/2. 2 plum tomatoes don't look to good after a couple of days. One of my apples had a rotten hole that I missed when purchasing it I was able to return that but over the years I've noticed a decline. I had a watermelon some yrs ago before Covid that was complete mush inside. When I returned on my next shopping trip I mentioned it to the mgr I was told that I should have returned it, problem is I live in Towson. It's too far to run back across town. Peppers as well, don't last. I spent almost $ 5.00 for not even a full bag of grapes and by Sunday I was throwing most of them away as also. Very disappointed with this recent trip 8/ 2024
I do like that it's pretty clean, neat and organized. I do think that many items are stacked with to many items they often times fall on the floor when selecting your items. They play nice music and prices are decent most times. Like everywhere and with every thing, things have increased but not as expensive as the...
