The Pikesville library has a beautiful children’s area with nature themed motifs and lots of child-friendly seating options. There are many wall-mounted manipulatives for young children to explore.
For the grown-ups, there’s great workspaces with private desk, including power outlets. Materials can be checked out using self-service kiosks or at the staffed circulation desk. The bathroom in the lobby was clean and smelled fresh.

People speak in normal street tones and talk on their cell phones while the staff just walks on by. It's so noisy that I can hear people through my earplugs! You can tell the staff is afraid of confrontation and doesn't want to be bothered so they pretty much just hide behind their carts and don't address any of these...
