The Bin Store Columbia — Attraction in West Columbia

Honestly, the hardest part of writing a review of The Bin Store Columbia, is trying to think of something that hasn't been mentioned in previous reviews. Great customer service starts the moment people walk through your doors. Repeat customers are the best type of shoppers to have because they are the key to a successful business. In fact, the friendly and personable staff is the biggest reason I keep returning because I want to support their family business. I also like to go because I always feel a bit of childhood nostalgia while digging through the bins, almost like I am on a treasure hunt. I have never left empty handed, so luckily for me, I always find my treasure.

In all seriousness, The Bin Store Columbia has something for everyone!! I swear 90% of my Christmas shopping is finished because of this store. The prices are unbeatable, the customer service is exceptional, and the overall atmosphere is positive—it’s definitely my new favorite place to shop. This store picks and chooses when they want to follow policy then when you say something they are rude and nasty ! I have gone multiple times where I’m at the check out and the cashier will take multiple small items and list them as one item together. Especially on days when the price is higher. Last time I was here on a $5 day I was able to get multiple packs of lashes (3-4) for $5 since they considered them small items, I go in today thinking I’ll get that same deal and mentioned something to the cashier and got nothing but rude responses and attitude. Like why the hell would I go in a buy one lash set for $5 when they don’t even cost that in the stores ! The staff and the whole operation contradicts themselves every time I come in this place. How is it that this business can pick and choose when they follow policy. How is it I go in one week get fair deals and pricing but I go in this week and basically wasted my time bc the items I wanted were small and multiples of the same thing ? Please don’t waste...

I do not recommend this place anymore solely because I was profiled. As many times as me and my (Caucasian) girlfriend shop here there has never been an issue until today. Maybe they have new staff today but we carry our backpacks in there every time we go in. Many people are seen with backpacks, side saddle bags, etc and nothing is said to them. The worker (kind of chubby white guy with glasses) approached me making weird “jokes” then later approached me and asked me to take my bag up front. When asked why he said “it’s protocol.” He did not ask my girlfriend to give her bag up until she said something which the girl (white girl dark long hair and glasses) and guy (tall, white guy brown hair) said she didn’t have to give up her bag.
