According to the owner of this UPS Store if you email them a document to print, even just a couple of black and white pages, they will charge you at least $3 computer use. I was informed at the time of paying and it did not make sense to me that I had to pay over 10 times the printing value (roughly $0.3 for 2 B&W pages) on computer use, because the owner had to use the "customer's" computer to print. I try to be fair and I struggle to see how a customer should be expected to know that the owner of a printing and shipping business is going to charge them for THE STORE USE of THE STORE computer which is part of what they need to fulfill the service they are selling. What's next? An electricity surcharge on prints, because they use electricity to power the printer? I mean, if I'm paying for a print, shouldn't I be paying the advertised price for the print itself? Whatever cost the business bears to be able to offer the service, that cost should be already included in the service price. If I go buy milk at the grocery store, the cost of refrigeration for the milk is already part of the price, isn't it? I know it's $3 but I feel like the owner (and she was ALONE in the storefront. Maybe somebody was in the back but in my 20 minutes there I didn't see any other worker) was not clear with me and really you are charging me $3 on top of a 30 cents print because you clicked two buttons on a computer? Where is the transparency? This screams "hidden costs" very loudly. Maybe she was overwhelmed because she said "everybody is coming in at the same time". I try to be understanding, although when calmly and kindly confronting her about the computer use charge and the fact that I didn't even touch the computer, she said that since she had to use the computer herself to retrieve the email and print the documents, she had to charge me for that as well. Really? I thought it was a printing store. To be 100% fair I initially came in with a USB stick. The owner asked me if I could print by myself at the self service kiosk while she attended other people who arrived after me. I said it was ok but I wasn't able to print using the printer. I then sent the documents via email to the store, thinking it would speed things up for me and for the store as well. But how does that justify that I have to be charged for computer use separately to print a document at a printing store anyway? After trying to be reasonable failed, I stormed off. I'm not proud about that and I apologize about that to the owner if she is reading, although I don't believe I was treated professionally and with respect. Even less I was not treated fairly. And that to me me worth much more than $3. If you are too overwhelmed with work and don't have enough people, paying customers shouldn't be the ones suffering the consequences. People be aware when...
Read moreI encountered a rude, disrespectful, and immature employee at this store. I arrived 5 minutes before they closed to drop off an Amazon package. I walked past the door with package in hand and they came out and locked it as I turned to walk back. I tried to open the door and was ignored. I went to my car assuming I hadn’t made it before closing and saw the time was was still not closing time so I went back and they let me in. I said “I’m sorry, I thought I hadn’t made it in time” and the girl said “yeah, 2 minutes before 6 we close” and I said I was here but you locked the door, I assume if you are open until 6 then you can accept my package until then and I’m sure you are getting paid. I assumed this girl was probably not representing this company well and thought reminding her that she was doing her job would diffuse her attitude but she then bragged that her mommy and daddy owned the store and they tell her to lock customers out before 6:00, then her co worker laughed. It was honestly like dealing with children. Dropping my package took about 1 minute and after you add to that all the attitude and rude interaction, I was still out of the store at closing, my receipt says 6:00. If they don’t want to do business until 6:00 then change the business hours to reflect that or add a disclaimer that they will close early at their discretion. I do business at this store whenever I need a UPS store and have always been treated well by other employees. This child did not represent this business or her family well. I’m not surprised this girl works for her parents because I don’t know who else would hire...
Read moreI am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the poor customer service I recently experienced with UPS. As a long-time customer, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and support.
On April 28 at 830am I attempted to return an Amazon package and in the process I was insulted by the person on staff. She was unhelpful. She was incredibly rude, disrespectful and condescending. I think it’s a disgrace and frankly, she should be ashamed of herself she should apologize for her behavior. Its completely unprofessional.
I respectfully request that you investigate this matter and take appropriate steps to improve your customer service process. I also expect an update regarding my specific case and an explanation of how UPS intends to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your...
