We have eaten at roughly a dozen different Bonefish's in the past 20 years. Tonight we ate at this location for the first time. As we walked in my wife and I both stated it was the cleanest and best atmosphere we have ever seen at a Bonefish. That happiness set us up to meet our server - Leanna. She was spectacular in ensuring my wife's severe food allergy received the right attention to detail. My wife must eat gluten free or she is literally out of commission for days. Leanna made us feel that our needs were met for sure. The food - Ceviche, Bang Bang (sautéed is GF - attached photo shows my non-GF fried ones), Brownie Dessert (also GF), and Coconut Pie (not GF) were soooooo delicious. As a matter of fact we both thought the meals exceeded our expectations as well. The price was about $30/pp before tip and that made us happy as well. We will be returning. :)

I have not been to a bonefish in over 6 years and decided to try them again. They have not changed much. I will say the place is nicely decorated and the workers a polite. The food came out quickly and hot! However this place falls short in two categories. The portions a super small and the cost is much higher than what you get. I ordered the calamari and bang bang shrimp for appetizer and the surf and turf. The turf was a sirloin and I asked for medium rare. It was so small that it was only three bites. It came out well down and It was like chewing leather. The surf was only four small scallops. I don’t recommend this place and it reminds me why I will never came back.

Really expensive and that's not the issue, I'll pay but portions are small and my eggs Benedict was cooked to much. Server was nice but empty plate in front of me after I was done took too long to clear and there were only two tables in the whole place so wasn't busy. Was going to order the creme brulee but when she came back after clearing my plate she had the bill in her hand and said it down and walked away so to management, this was first thing when you opened it was not busy and this is not the kind of service you would expect. Teach your server's how to upsell and ask guests if they would like some dessert or maybe an after-dinner drink

Summary- There are just to many really good, consistent restaurants in the area to have to suffer through Bonefish

I live on Indian Rocks Beach and don't see the need to cross the bridge anymore for this place.

4 Stars? Maybe it was a bad night...but it didn't even come close to mediocre. Or the reviewers are inexperienced diners who would consider The Red Lobster a nice place too. Or would consider The Olive Garden a real treat.

I've tried eating at this bonefish several times...never going back again. consistently disappointing. Maybe I expect to much...but they bill themselves as a a nice place to eat...but the underlying vibe is "fast food".

My food was under cooked...couldn't get the attention of anyone to have it redone...so sloppy service. I was there with my girlfriend so I suspect that my waiter was more involved in keeping the big tables moving along for a bigger tip...and that I didn't count.

We ordered a Sam Adams beer..."Sorry we're out" Really. Summertime...Summer Ale and you don't plan ahead to stock it.

Default went to Blue Moon...we were actually going out to a craft beer place afterwards...and the first one came without an orange in it...second had the orange. What's the big deal, you say? Just an example of the overall sloppiness of the place. All those small (and big) shortcomings added up to terrible experience.

Tables jammed onto the floor so I keep bumping up against the people next to me. Maybe if you sit up in one of their booths the experience is better.

Decor is dated and worn...not frayed...but not "fresh".

Someone finally came around to "see if everything was okay"...(it wasn't)...turned out he was the manager...and apologized that he didn't come by earlier (said that was his job) but he was the only manager on duty.

Another "Really?" experience. Short staffed on a Saturday evening?

Besides I've come to the belief that apologies don't count in my world.

Who cares if your sorry?

My girlfriend had already eaten here meal by the time they came over...and so my relaxing meal before our other plans was instead replaced by a lousy experience.

So you give me my meal and a free beer? In exchange for a bad time?

The "fix" is not adjusting my cost. Who cares about the money. You've already made a mess of this night.

The fix is replacing my evening with another evening. Invite me back on your dime and give me the chance to have a good time.

I would like to say maybe it was an off night...but I've eaten there a couple of times and it was the same thing.

As I go back and re-read my review I asked myself. "Is this being to harsh? Do I sound like a discontented soul who wouldn't be happy with anything in life?"

Maybe.

But I'm not normally that way. You can see my other reviews. I've had multiple bad experiences and should announce that. If you have any discrimination...or are annoyed by a restaurant chain relying on their reputation....but you end up...

I come to this Bonefish fairly regularly and it is almost always very good but tonight was disappointing. Years ago I was a corporate trainer for Houston's Restaurants so I do have high standards for service but I just try to enjoy the experience when I'm out eating these days. We went in a few minutes after 9pm knowing they closed at 10pm and tried to order quickly as I know staff are wanting to go home. Everything was great until we got our check a couple minutes before 10 and the Bang Bang Shrimp I ordered ToGo was not on the bill. I told the waitress and she said the kitchen was now closed so I couldn't get it (I told her about the Bang Bang when we ordered our appetizers and dinner). It was irritating as I had promised to bring this home for someone else's dinner but I just let it go. I paid the bill at 10pm and we were sitting talking and finishing our dessert and drinks when someone came to the table and asked if we were done. We were a little surprised to be asked this question as we were obviously still finishing and drinking but said sure. He then stuck his fingers in the glasses, pulled them together and took off. He then came back and asked if I was done with my soda and water (I really wasn't) but I said "sure" and again, fingers in the glasses and off he went. It was far from the worst experience I've had dining out as most everything was good. However, in my book the customer is more important than letting the dishwasher, cook and server walk out the door 3 minutes after closing and tonight was a bit of a shock. I brought my staff for dinner after they had worked a long day and we would have been out in 10 minutes but it would have been our pace, not rushed out by staff. I'll certainly return and enjoy this restaurant again but tonight was just a bit...

The manager on staff Wednesday October 2 at 6:30 is one of the most disrespectful customer service employees I've ever come in contact with. I attempted to pick up a doordash order like I have done 6000 previous times. I sat and waited in the exact spot in the restaurant staff asked me to. Staff told me the restaurant didn't have the order so I followed doorsash protocol exactly. Called support had them send a new order number and asked the employee to check. She said they had a tablet in the back and she would check. Then the manager comes back out instead of the staff and gets right in my face. He asks me if I have a problem in a confrontational manner right off the bat. I calmly explained that I have to call doordash support so they can contact his restaurant and confirm they don't have the order. He continues to ask me if I have a problem like I have done anything other than the exact protocol to pick up/cancel a doordash order. I even sat near the restrooms in the single chair that is sat there for doordash drivers to wait and he tried to claim I was disturbing guests by making a two minute phone call to doordash near the restrooms. The exact spot they had asked me to wait for my order. I am not surprised because I've spoken with other dashers who have had similar problems with this same man. Getting into someone's face immediately when I've done nothing but be respectful and try to fix a situation with doordash is so out of line for someone who is a manager and represents bonefish grill. I live in the area and I will make sure to never go to Bonefish Grill and also tell anyone in the area who wants a restaurant recommendation to never eat here either. Completely unprofessional and...
