We called this location to order a pizza and spent so much time on hold that we decided to drive to this location and place the order in person. We were still on hold when we arrived at this location and discovered they were attempting to close an hour early. We ordered the pizza and found that they were unable to make change because they had closed the cash register early. The employees tried to accept the cash and give us the change However, none of the employees present were capable of doing simple math to make the change. I had to tell them how much money I was owned. After placing the order we were told it would take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to make the pizza for us. We sat at a small table outside during that time period approximately a 1/2 hour pass before we have to go check to see if the pizza was ready. The employees apparently have forgotten the pizza! The employees searched in the ovens and all around the kitchen before discovering the pizza was placed on top of oven. After returning home to enjoy the pizza, we discovered that the pizza was substandard to say the least. Several types of cheese were used on the pizza even though we did not order it that way. Very few mushrooms were added to the pizza maybe 1 or 2 per slthere was an additional ingredient in the pizza that we most certainly did not order. There were several long black hairs in the melted cheese. My boyfriend and I neither one have long black hair. There is no circumstance I can imagine that would ever cause me to revisit this location again. With that being said, I have eaten there many times in the past years and always enjoyed it. The recent changes made in sure that I will never return. If you're looking for good pizza I highly recommend you...
Read moreThe only reason this restaurant gets 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the service. The food is excellent and decently priced but visiting twice in one week, we think they only ever have one server working, which can cause some delays in service. It wasn't awful service but just slow at times getting refills, which the kids ended up self serving since the soda fountain was near our table.
Like I said, we ate here twice over a course of 7 days due to it being a easy restaurant as there is no wait for a table and the prices are inexpensive for the portions of food you receive.
The pizza slice and drink deal is a great way to get a bang for your buck. The pizza is hot and fresh and everyone loved it.
If you love calzones, you HAVE to try one of the Westshore Pizza calzones. For a couple bucks more, you might as well get a full calzone and you will have at least one lunch meal to take home.
We got a Greek salad to split between the two of us to go along with our meals and it was much bigger than I was expecting. They brought it out on what seemed to be a large pizza pan. This could easily be split between 3-4 people.
On one visit I had an Eggplant Parmigiana sandwich, which was excellent. I did order fries that I never got but we also didn't get charged for them so I didn't complain because by the time I got my sandwich, I was stuffed anyway.
The next visit, I had to try a calzone so I ordered the veggie calzone, which was excellent and again was a huge portion.
You get quite a bit of bang for your buck here. The only thing lacking somewhat is the service but maybe that's why they can keep prices so low. We will definitely be going back on our next visit...
Read moreWestshore Pizza, where the crust is crispy and the cheese melts like a dream—but alas, not all dreams are perfect. Stepping into this pizza haven, you’re greeted by the comforting warmth of a classic pizzeria. The atmosphere is cozy, casual, and distinctly “neighborhood favorite.” The service is friendly, and the pizza arrives in a timely manner, hot and golden, ready to tempt your taste buds.
However, the true test of any pizza lies in its foundation: the sauce. While the crust achieved an acceptable level of crispness (a solid 8/10), and the cheese was indulgently gooey, the tomato sauce was a bit of a betrayal. The first bite promised the usual rich, tangy burst of tomato goodness—but instead, I was met with an odd, almost flavorless base. It didn’t taste like tomato at all. It was more like a vague suggestion of tomato, as if it had been distilled down to a whisper of its former self. The absence of that essential, vibrant zing left the pizza feeling oddly flat, like a song with the wrong chord missing.
As for the toppings, they were generous, fresh, and well-prepared, but they couldn’t quite compensate for the sauce’s mysterious identity crisis. It was as if the tomato had been lost in translation, leaving behind an unfulfilled promise of pizza perfection.
Overall, Westshore Pizza does a lot of things right—the atmosphere is warm, the crust is crunchy, and the toppings are fresh—but when the heart of the pizza (the sauce) falls short, it’s hard to ignore. It’s a good pizza, certainly not terrible, but not the life-changing slice I’d hoped for. Three stars. Still worth a visit if you’re craving pizza, but maybe bring your...
