Visible Records — Attraction in Charlottesville

Similar to another reviewer, I imagined this place was a local record label putting out CDs and vinyl of local artists that happened to be just around the corner for Decipher Brewing. That piqued my curiosity, but I discovered it's actually this great community space for different types of artists which also hosts open mics, exhibitions, and other cultural events. I'm embarrassed to admit that when I was invited to a meeting there, I assumed it was a vintage vinyl shop. It's way cooler than that. It's a space for art, community, discussion, cogent thought, common struggle, humanity, zines, stickers, and alternative media. It's a necessary place. Highly recommended, strongly encouraged....
