We were here a couple months ago (review is a little late). I don't drink, but have a boozing travelling buddy, so I have seen my share of bars, winerys, and breweries. This place is beautiful - sits up on a little hill and has a lot of free parking. The inside is clean and very friendly.
My friend did a wine tasting and liked all of them (even bought a full glass and a bottle). It's also a store with all kinds of super-cute stuff, so if you are looking for some kind of gift for a wine/drinking person, this is a great place to get it. The girl working the bar was so friendly and helpful and knew what she was talking about. Besides the indoor bar, there's a nice area to sit outside and sip your wine; there's a gazebo and several tables with chairs. Read moreThe Wine Slushee, atmosphere and friendly staff brought us back three times during our Oktoberfest visit to Helen. The wine tasting is $12 per person for 5 tastes. Most of the wines are fruit based. The wine makers experiment was not our favorite. The bottles of wine are reasonable between $15-$25. We liked that we could purchase cheese, pickles, crackers and other local delicious items to pair with our wine tasting. The retail store will delight any wine lover. We especially loved the unique pet items that stuck to the wine theme. We purchased several unique wine items from the store, two slushee flavors so we can make slushee at home and two bottles of wine...

All the young workers were looking at me through the windows, but ignoring me. I knocked on the front door a couple of times. The young girl and guy behind the door were looking right at me as I was knocking and just continued to ignore me. The young girl, closing the blinds, finally came to the door at 5:52 with an annoyed gesture on her face and barely cracked the door. I asked if I could just purchase a bottle of wine as we would be leaving early in the morning? No, we were closed. I stated it was 5:53, online, and sign on the door, as stated at 6 pm close time. Again, she said no, were closed. So unbelievably RUDE!!!!! So disappointing. Will...
