Nacoochee Adventures — Attraction in Cornelia

Our reservation was at 10:00am. We were told to show up 30min in advanced. So we did. Check-in took a total of maybe 3min. Then we sat and waited to get fitted. At 10:00, we were told there was a staffing issue and there won't be a guide till 11:00. We decided to wait instead of a refund. At 10:45, we were then told that it wasn't gonna be untill 12:00 that a guide was avaliable. We decided again to wait and were told our tickets would be discounted. At 11:45 we showed back up, to see that people were already ziplining. That was frustrating. Shortly after 12:00 we got fitted for the harness and met our guides. The guides were very friendly and lightened to mood with jokes and conversation. The ride to the platforms however, is in the back of a pickup truck through very bumpy roads. So be prepared for that. It was sketchy with smallwr children. The ziplines were well taken care of but the platforms need some maintenence. It was nice that the braking on the end was automatic. It was a very easy zipline experience once we got to go out. We did get to experience the 1/2 mile zipline at no extra cost, but we were never compensated for our original wait time like we were told. Only giving one star because we have to. Drove up from Florida for a fun camping trip with our 5 year old twins. Upon arrival, we had an unfortunate turn of event with our toddler, when he slipped and fell on their property. We had to leave and head home to get him stitches and have him seen by the dentist as his top teeth went through his bottom gums. We reached out to the manager/owner, Josh, inquiring if it would be possible for a refund, to which he agreed and even offered to send an additional gift for my toddler. We exchanged text messages numerous time, with Josh asking for our address to send the gift and check for refund and telling us about other properties of his so we would come back in the future, and then he stopped responding. I reached out again a week later inquiring as it was a decent chunk of money to us to spend, and no response. What a coward!! A place I had recommended initially to friends and family is a definite no-go now! Poor management equals poor business!!! Go somewhere else, there are plenty of places that offer...

Took my son and his buddy, ages 16 and 17 to this outfitter because they wanted something more than the many zip line tours that simply fly over parking lots. We checked in at the office, and the staff was friendly and funny. The boys played bumper pool while we waited for our time slot, so that was a cool plus. Jesse and Katie were their guides, and they were both very nice. The kids chose the Moonshine tour, and then the Big Zip. They said the zip lines were all through the trees, scenic, and very fun! The final zip was a half mile line that they loved! Their last rode was the Thriller Swing, and that is Well worth the 10.00 upgrade! Jesse and Katie were very safety conscious, joked with the group, and made for a true 5 star experience. Thank you both!
