Since I can't give a "0" a one will have to do. We purchased a "leather" sofa and love seat with power controls. We had a very old lazy boy that was still in decent shape, but due to my disability I was unable to use the manual controls. In less than a week the "spray sealer" they use on the "leather" started peeling. We were told it was natural leather (not bonded) and it would breath. Not True! Shortly after that it got a small hole in between the cushions. (Since we purchased the warranty that is supposed to cover every thing under the sun except Sharpies, shouldn't have been a problem???) The deep brown color also started fading to an orange color is several spots. Jerome's and the warranty company were useless. As instructed I reported the damage immediately. I filled out and mailed back (you cannot send by e-mail) the forms requested. I never heard back. Additional discoloration and cracking on the vinyl parts started to happen, again I reported it and filled out the forms they e-mailed with no response. I called and was told perhaps you should go to the post office and mail the forms as certified. I had already explained I was disabled and could not drive to the post office. I was told that's a shame. We don't accept e-mails of the forms we e-mailed you. They claim to have never received any information about problems with the couch when my husband contacted them, so since it wasn't reported immediately it is not covered. YES I HAVE THE E-MAILS. I purchased a cheap touch up kit for the color and while I was covering the large orange spots, I found part of the "leather" was peeling. The part peeling off was about as thick as a piece of tissue. (Not Kleenex, the kind you wrap things in.) I used some vinyl adhesive to keep the spot from getting worse and have not reported it, because life is stressful enough without dealing with a company that hires people who lie and seem to have no problem with unsatisfied customers. The salesman actually told us that bad reviews were a problem so they were implementing better customer service to keep customers happy....well he also said the couch was leather and the cushions would last, you wouldn't feel metal bars through them in less than a year...another lie. I have spoken to Jerome's and the warranty company and was basically told if I wasn't disabled they may help. Since I am and cannot come in to speak to them in person...suck's for me. They did not guarantee help if I came in, and I feel they would have just tried to sell me something else had I been able to get there. I hope the salesman making his sales quota was worth making my life so miserable, too bad I won't know when Karma catches up to him and the rest of the staff that basically have their hands tied due to the policies Jerome's and the warranty company have in place. I hope the spray and stain that have worn off the couch (not made in the USA) is not extremely toxic...
Read moreI went into the corona store and purchased a bedroom set with a very nice gentleman named Alejandro. That was the only good part! I was promised same day delivery, didn't happen. I called and spoke to the customer service reps in the corona store and they told me it would be the next day the had to many items to deliver. I said ok and they assured me they would be out the next day so I went home and moved out all my old furniture and waited for them that next day to come. I watched the so called delivery tracker all day while my time kept changing till later in the day.. Once it was past the time frame I called.. Then delivery told me that my headboard wasn't loaded for some reason and they said it will be out the next day.. So agin I take time from work and wait.. About 12:30am I call the delivery dept because it says that my new delivery time was last 2am. They then tell me that the delivery man hurt his back and they were just about to call us to let us know we weren't getting our furniture tonight.. So the next day I call them and they tell me we are between 230-630 and they are about 3 hours late behind schedule so agin I wait for them to come making sure not to miss and they are a no show!! The next morning I call the delivery dept and I speak to Carlos in the wear house mad he says that they don't even have my headboard in stock and that was the reason my furniture wasn't delivered! By this time I'm so mad I had to just hang up on him because after all what can I do!
...I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone! Don't do it!
Instead of just being honest and saying they don't have it in stock they Lie to you every day and waste your time and money!! I'm still waiting on my stuff today 6 days later. I'm promised tomorrow now, day 7.. I really hope I'm not lied to again!
So this is the update!!
Today is day 7 and delivery was for 3-6pm I was excited when they got here before 2pm until they put up my bed and it was the wrong size bed! The delivery man tried to tell me I bought the wrong size mattresses but the tag is clearly labeled. So they had to take it back down and back to the truck! Horrible experience The chest that they brought had a large scratch on it and they had to take it back. So I have a dresser no bed or chest! They said they will bring it back out tomorrow day 8. This is from a company that sold me on same...
Read moreI spent months looking for the perfect sofa for my space. I needed specific things and Jerome's had what I thought was my dream sofa. For those who want to look up what I got I purchased the Cassius sectional. Anyways, I was told the protection plan would cover pet damage but the scratches from my cats on my sofa isn't covered so I wasted $130 for coverage that does NOTHING for me! The ottoman's pistons have stopped working so it's a pain to access the storage. The back pillows on the edges have a wood frame and they dig into your back (This is a design flaw and cannot be fixed properly) There's a very uncomfortable bar across the chaise so you can't lay down on it without feeling it. If you sit on the chaise it feels like you are in a sunken hole! On top of that, the bonded leather is already staring to peel!! Peeling isn't covered by ANY warranty at all with this company or the protection plan! I'm out $1500! I was told that the damaged/faulty parts could be replace but they are design flaws and nothing can really be done. I get to have parts replaced and in less than 8 months, have the SAME problem AGAIN! Next time I will be out of my 1 year warranty with a protection plan that does me no good!!!! This is unacceptable!!!!! My $400 Ikea sofa which was bonded leather also held up WAY better than this crap they sold me!
I will NEVER recommend Jerome's to ANYONE. I regret ever stepping into their stores! I'm waiting now for when my Jerome's mattress starts falling apart. It's newer than the sofa!
I have spoke with several other people regarding this issue also I was told when I made the appointment for the warranty tech to come out I would get refunded since there was so many issues with my sofa. Of course I know that was just another lie like the pet damage in the protection plan. I posted on their Facebook page about the issues and not once did a post go through to their wall! I did get a call from Mr. Ozzy who I see replies here on yelp. However after getting his message and calling back for 2 weeks, I never got a response.
I'm totally disgusted by their product I was sold as well as the...
