Talk about a RIP-OFF.
Gone here for years for what they call "soup bones" for my dogs. Used to get them for free, but then someone at one of their stores cut off a finger so they started to package these bones off-site. Bottom line is; I went in the other day to find out they were charging $3.99 a lb for BONES. That's right folks - BONES! Just under $10 for a package of 5 bones.
First I asked a guy in the meat dept "WHY so expensive?", he had a puzzled look on his face and said "maybe cuz they have to cut the bones". Yea, UHHH... isn't that your job??
Then I went to the checkout line and saw that the MANAGER was working a particular line, so I got in his line. Now the moment of truth... showed him the package and he too had a puzzled look on his face, but offered absolutely NO explanation, in fact he acted like it was ME that was crazy for even asking him why the per lb cost was the SAME as his T-bone steaks!
ASTONISHING - talk about a GOUGE-JOB. Just for kicks on the way out, I asked another checker - and her response was priceless "probably because of the marrow, dogs love it". UHHHH.... yea that must be it.
Thanks a lot Stater Bros, I hope you choke on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was a joke today. I had ordered a Thanksgiving meal from them expecting a meal to enjoy the holidays. Wow, what a joke. Go to pick up the food and it looked more like a meal you would get at a shelter. The turkey looked more like chicken and was barely enough to feed one. The potatoes were watery. The cranberry container was only half full, and the pumpkin pie looked like a single serving slice. Talked to the store manager John who was less than cordial. After showing what we received and explaining my displeasure. John just took the food out of my cart without offering to make things right and just offered a refund.
This was despicable service and only served to ruin the holiday for which we hoped would have been special. Their advertisement of a meal for two was far from the truth. Their version of a meal for two should have reflected for little children.
We will have a great holiday regardless of the poor service we received from Stater...

I used to shop there & it was alright but months ago why the meat/deli guys behind the counter called the security guard on me? By surprise after I payed the merchandise, tall Mgr. & Security Guard came to see my bag cause he said they saw me put something in my bag. I told them, "I was only checking the prices & didn't even open my bag & steal.". Were they SCARED of Christian or have secrets of something at the meat dept.? The š was on the lookout. 2 yrs. ago a car stopped & mog my friend while walking in the street coming from Stater Brother in Border St. Now we go to Walmart in Avenida Del Vista & 6th St. They have friendly...
