This is a review for both coffee dose and east eighteenth. This place seems like it’s poppin on social media, and they have a very nice vibe, decor, and not everyone is unfriendly. But wow the service I received is highly unprofessional. Maybe it’s because the coffee baristas and some hair stylists are very young? Not sure if that’s what it is.
I came into coffee dose at 8 months pregnant on a very downpour rainy day. I was unaware that if you order coffee you are not able to sit on the couch. I politely told the barista my feet were swollen and I was very tired. I only came here because they have a drink that was my go-to in pregnancy. They told me I could go outside in the rain to sit or I could stand up and wait. Totally understand there are rules in place, I am still shocked though at the rudeness which was given by the coffee dose baristas. It’s a true shame as some baristas are very sweet and your drinks were some of my husband and I’s favorites.
Then at a different time I went in to buy some hair products that came highly recommend by Manon who was absolutely so very sweet. But when I came in there was another stylist, I believe her name was Fran, who seemed extremely bothered to be interrupted. She had just sat her client down which I was trying to be respectful of so I sat down to wait thinking it would be 5-10 minutes. I wanted to support your shop! She looked over at me and hollered it would be 20 minutes until she could sell me a hair oil and shampoo so I left and bought them online instead.
All this to say, I am bummed. I was hoping I had found my new fave salon and coffee shop and I really don’t want to support this space anymore after their very poor...
Read moreI’ve tried the little coffee shop twice and had terrible experience both times. First, the worker was SO RUDE! She didn’t even greet, and just said “what do you want?” In the snarkiest tone. I got a cold brew and it tasted like it was weeks old. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and just thought she was having a bad day so I wanted to try it out again. I go back a second time and a different girl was there and again.. no greeting and just stared at me waiting for my order. Once I received my order she just handed it to me and stared again, so I said have a great day! And she rolled her eyes and turned around lol. Like seriously? Paying that much for a crappy coffee, asking for a tip, and get this type of service? Be serious. Oh and I got something super simple just a drip coffee and it’s literally brown HOT WATER it tastes like nothing. Absolutely terrible service, terrible coffee. I do not recommend this place at all. And from the looks of the salon reviews, their service isn’t so great either. Definitely won’t be returning and definitely won’t be trying the hair salon either. Do...
Read moreThis place is so horrible. I was discriminated against 10/21/21 because I brought my son into the salon. I was not aware that there was a no child policy until I was in the salon. When I booked and when they confirmed and even the day prior no one made this aware to me. All of the employees were so rude and staring at my little baby as well as the hair stylist Elaine. She told me that she did not want my child to disturb the other clients. Who says that? It could've all been avoided by simply asking me to reschedule when she saw that my son was there she proceeded to tell me that everyone was giving her dirty looks and belittling me the entire 10 minutes I was in the chair until I could not take it anymore and took my child and paid and left. She still charged me for yanking my hair with the brush, leaving with wet hair and half of my hair not being cut. Lindsey at the front still asked me if I wanted to leave a tip for her LOL WHAT!!!!!
Please avoid this place at all costs they're not professional at all. I tried to reach out to the owner but she never responded to me- that is...
