NO FOREIGNERS ALLOWED. I am 31 years old, grew up my whole life in right here in Orange County. I’ve spent the last 9 years living and working outside the USA, and after 7 years of not being home, I finally flew to California for a visit. My California IDs are expired since I do not reside in the USA anymore. (I do security work in the Middle East and reside in one of the countries in that region) They refused to accept my drivers license from the country I reside in, along with my government ID Card from the country I live and work in. I explained to the security guard at the door along with his supervisor, that I am no longer a CA resident and am just here visiting. They refused to accept me, telling me they have a policy where they only accept U.S. ID. They told me to “go get my passport and bring it to the bar”. Every other bar in the area let me in that weekend with those IDs. Since then I’ve noticed that there are several other bad reviews about similar incidents where people with IDs from foreign countries are not accepted at Goathill Tavern. Like I wrote before I do security work in the most dangerous part of the world and I more than anyone else understand the life and job of security people and all the policies, But it is just so ridiculous to expect someone who is traveling , to go to a bar with their passport and risk loosing it in a noisy crowded bar. Every other bar we went to gladly accepted me with my foreign IDs. I encourage management to re-assess this policy, because it is essentially a policy that enforces a “No Foreigners...

Read moreThey discriminate against people with disabilities. I have a disability that causes my hands to tremble. The bartender, who I think was named Mike and was a stocky white gentleman with very short hair, repeatedly accused me of being on drugs. He also made me perform a "field sobriety test" by tracking my eyes with his fingers before he would serve me, even though I explained that I had a disability. Even after I passed his "test" he continued to make humiliating remarks accusing me of being intoxicated on substances, even though I explained to him that I have a disability that causes physical tremors. At one point he said "I know you're on something but I'll still serve you." This was very humiliating and awkward, and caused me further stress. Discrimination against people with disabilities is against federal and state law. I attached a photo of my Medicare card, I am 35 and only eligible for Medicare at my age because I have...
