Rubrix Wines — Attraction in Cottonwood

On a Southwest vacation, our family decided to stop for a day/night in Cottonwood. I had read up about Rubrix (and all the local wineries) ahead of time and knew this was a stop we needed to make. The tasting room was spacious and welcoming, as was the woman pouring. We had excellent wines, nice conversation and took home a few bottles. But, in addition to all that, my husband ending up losing his car key in their cushy leather chair and didn't discover it until that night, after closing! After retracing his steps everywhere else, I left a message at the winery hoping they would call us the next day. They did call, they found the key, and were gracious enough to mail it home for us. Luckily I also had my key so we were still able to continue our trip. This was so above and beyond and we so appreciate it! Stop in for the awesome wine and service, and stay to give your business to a local place with real humans...

The wine was great! What wasn’t great was the service which was odd because the place was empty. We ordered two flights and a board and the server said absolutely nothing about any of the wines which is atypical at a tasting room, and she hardly ever checked in. Definitely felt a judgy vibe from the ladies working behind the counter who seemed weirded out that two men were together at a tasting. Several times we noticed them looking over at us and whispering. Needless to say, I had every intention of purchasing a couple bottles when I walked in the door but that quickly changed based on how unwelcome we felt. This place does not seem to be...

I was a bit confused today; we were excited to try this wineroom and right off the bat we showed up at 2 pm Sunday and no one was there?? The open sign was lit, website said open, we called no answer but the doors were locked (?) We were ready to walk away disappointed and a girl ran up to open the door. She set down our wine tasting choices, provided no information about the wines and for 2 hours we never encountered her again. I've read good things on the website and other reviews so it completely baffled me. We got good wine but zero...
