I really wanted to like this place. It had such potential and the reviews made it seems like a sure thing.. but this place was far from it. To be fair, we did attend this restaurant on the heels of a biker rally, perhaps the staff was overwhelmed with the amount of patrons but it really didn't feel crowded. I don't have anything good to say about the food. I was with a group of 7 people and none of us finished our meals and nobody raved about theirs. I ordered the red velvet chicken and waffles. I know, my fault for being adventurous but I had high hopes.. I think they over cooked the chicken by about 30 minutes, that would explain why the food took so long. Thankfully they brought syrup with my meal otherwise the chicken wouldn't have been edible, I had to drench the chicken in the syrup to eat it. The red velvet waffle in theory sounded good but it wasn't. It didn't taste like red velvet or a waffle. It probably should be removed from the menu especially at $14+. I should have sent the meal back immediately but I didn't want to be the only one not eating so I suffered through a few bites of each. The waitress asked if I wanted a Togo box and I believe my response was " god no"! Lol.. my girlfriend didn't fair any better. She ordered the eggs Benedict, I don't know if the kitchen staff had ever heard of eggs Benedict before cause what they brought her was far from it.. the eggs on top are supposed to have runny yolk... Hers didn't. They were hard boiled.. it's also supposed to be accompanied by hollandaise sauce which it wasn't. She did complain to the waitress about the overcooked eggs but the waitress informed her that usually the cooks under cook the eggs, like that was some sort of attempt to comfort her.. she didn't offer to have it remade or remove it from our bill. I don't think we'll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet's start with a few positives. The staff is very nice. The pastries and flavored coffee are wonderful! But that's where it ends. Breakfast left us very disappointed.
I ordered eggs Benedict, and my wife ordered the breakfast club sandwich. Both of us got the hashbrowns as a side.
The eggs Benedict had zero flavor with zero sauce. The muffins were soggy and tasted of freezer burn, the ham slices appeared to be, and tasted like sandwich meat. The eggs were poached properly, but there was no sauce on the plate. I also couldn't find any evidence of salt and pepper being used through the insane amount of paprika covering the eggs. Worst "eggs Benedict" I ever tasted.
My wife's breakfast club sandwich was void of flavor, the bread tasted of freezer burn, and the meat again tasted and appeared to be sandwich meat.
Hasbrowns are not hard to make, but this kitchen found a way to do it. They called it a "creamy hashbrown with cheese." First, the hashbrowns were a disgusting brown. They looked as though the potatoes had been peeled and left out to brown. Then was placed in a kitchen pan, covered with cheese, and then scooped out with an ice cream scoop and dropped on a plate. The hashbrowns did, however, have salt and pepper, but so much salt and pepper that it took each of us a full bottle of water to get over it.
It's sad for us to see a local business put so little care into their food.
If you decide to eat breakfast here, just go to the take out coffee window and , get a pastry and coffee. Avoid...

My wife and I both had the breakfast croissant but I subbed egg whites for whole egg. Delicious. Savory and very large portion. Filling. Still a top stop! New pics attached.
Updated Nov 29 2023. Still a solid 5 stars in all categories. Weāre back. Our same group of four. I had the ābltaā - bacon lettuce tomato and avocado. Delicious and filling. With a side of their signature cheesy hash brown potato casserole. Seated immediately. Great service. Good value.
Our small group had a mid-morning breakfast-brunch at Crema. Crema hides a surprise - it's LARGE but hidden extended seating patio. You walk in the front door into a small cramped area and wonder where you're gonna sit. Then comes the surprise. They escort you through a door into the covered outside eating patio chock full of tables, colorful umbrellas and lots of AZ sunlight. Never saw that coming! Very cool, actually. Service was top notch. Prices were great. Food was OUTSTANDING! My wife had a burrito and I had their "BLTA" sammy - bacon, lettuce, tomato & avocado served with a side of "Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole". Good food, fun atmosphere, clean, open,...
