My husband and I just moved to Cottonwood and have been trying out different restaurants. We decided to go to the Tavern restaurant tonight and we were absolutely blown away by the service and food. The staff is wonderful. They kept on top of our drinks and made sure our drinks never got empty. The food wasn’t rushed out so we were able to take our time and enjoy everything. Our server Becca was so nice and made sure our meal came out perfect. We ordered some potstickers for an appetizer and they were incredible, especially the sauce they came with. For our entree we ordered the December special which was 3 filet medallions, 2 shrimp skewers, mashed potatoes, vegetables and a soup or salad. The strawberry salad was fantastic, the dressing wasn’t too sweet or tart and the ratio of spinach to toppings was perfect. The filet medallions came out beautifully. They had a nice crust on them and were cooked evenly and to perfection. The shrimp were so tender and cooked just right. The mashed potatoes were incredibly creamy and the broccoli was tender. I also ordered the prickly pear iced tea as I’ve never tried it before and it was really good. It wasn’t too sweet and not too overpowering, which I liked. Overall, we are definitely looking forward to coming back here again and highly recommend anyone coming into Cottonwood to try this place out.
