I came here after a wine tasting with my sister and two teenage niece's. Several older people came in after us, as well, which is important later. My sister was hesitant going in because last time she was here she had a bad experience, but she wanted to give it another shot. Yet again, another bad experience. They leave sample cups out near the oils so we assumed that we could help ourselves as there were no signs indicating otherwise. The lady at the front counter came up right behind us, saying that she would pour all the samples for us. She followed us around the store UNCOMFORTABLY close. Any time we looked at an oil she insisted she needed to pour it. The older customers that came in behind us were allowed to pour their own and weren't followed around. It became very apparent that she thought we were incompetent because of our age. She was very patronizing towards us and it made us feel totally unwelcome. It was only when another customer captured her attention, we were able to get out of there. I think if she could follow us onto the street and continue to treat us poorly, she would've. Quality, selection and friendly service. I have been buying high end oils and vinegar for almost a decade. The VVOOT provided and excellent shopping experience with knowledgeable associates. They had some unique products in beautiful shop. But the test of any business is in how they handle issues. We live several hours south of the shop and when we got home discovered we had an in correct product. I contacted the shop and the we're very nice and advised the manager would call. That same evening he did call and explained their process of checking the product with us at time of sale The mistake could have been mine so I offered to pay for the new bottle but the sent me the correct one at no charge.
