This was a pretty neat area. There is a huge strip of waist-high warmer water before the sand that leads to the waves. The pooled was a bit warm for comfort though, and my son and I both itched after being in it. There is a smell around it and quite a bit of gunk. When you Wade through it and get to the actual ocean though, it is a very cool spot! People were surfing and the ocean floor went down like steps. It was so pretty and there were plenty of bits and parts of different crabs for the little guy to have fun. We watched tiny birds and seagulls and followed their footprints. I'd enjoy going back without my kid so that I could swim. This also happens to be right next to a hotel, a restaurant and a dock that is close enough to barely see a bunch of sea lions. Happy...

I was born at Seaside hospital and have lived here most of my life. I use Beach Front Park often to run and play frisbee with my Border collie (Shiloh). The park seems to be better groomed and cleaner then in the past. Shiloh and I have used the dog park a cple times. In my opinion this was a huge waste of money. Dog parks nothing more then a 4' chain link fence ( Shiloh jumps over, back and forth on command) and a water spigot. Park is nothing more then every dog owner should have in there backyard. If we're going to spend the money on a dog park, make it so we can train our dogs in some way. I would like to see the future money's spent on activities for people. Like a better soccer field (this is used alot), amphitheater, softball field or...

This is by far the coolest park ever. We stopped here years ago twice on our way through here. This time I planned our trip so that we stop in Crescent City over night so we can come and play here. So many cool places to climb. My 4 yr old and 14 yr old loved playing hide and seek. The 18 m old couldn’t get enough of walking up and down. We were there for an hour or so and all three kids were worn out. It was a bit chilly but after running around for a few minutes you warm right up. Looked like there was lots of grass area and paved trail next to waterfront but the kids were to worn out and hungry to go and...

Great spot for playing in the water. For anyone young or new to the ocean it's super safe and gentle. We walked out quite a ways and it was still only to my knees. And the waves were small, slow, and gentle. My babydog had never seen the ocean before and by the third time was confident enough to swim a little bit (past where his feet could touch the sand). The sand was also soft and smooth for barefoot walking but you need shoes for the little rocky part at the bottom of the stairs.
