Well 1st your website does not have the correct information on prices or passengers for scalloping vs staying in the bay so it's very misleading when your expecting it to be 1 price and you call and its something completely different. Second your boats are pretty shoddy compared to other marinas on the river and very overpriced considering it takes at least 1 and a half hours if not 2 to get to the scalloping grounds with that small motor considering how many people are usually on pontoons and the woman at the counter said it would take about an he which is just not true. Seems like a scam to me considering you charge $5 dollars a minute if your late. We were literally getting passed by everyone even other pontoons with more passengers than us. We also ran into a little bed of coral and it happened to pop the top plastic case of the motor off and it sunk before we could grab it. Then u wanted $400 which I'm sure could have been found a lot cheaper but to expect someone to just have 400 or more in cash on the spot is just ridiculous. You should have a better method for people to be able to pay for mishaps a payment plan of sorts using a checking account or something. I nor any of my group will ever be using your...
Read moreWorst kayaking experience of my life! it wasn't until we were a ways out that we realized they gave us river kayaks. These are much shorter than ocean kayaks and are harder to maneuver/paddle bc you don't get as far with each paddle. They should only be used in calm RIVERS. This water was way too choppy to use these. They shouldn't even be offering them - but they are cheaper than ocean kayaks so that is my guess as to why they would have them. (I've literally never been offered a river kayak in the 20+ times I've rented kayaks.) My mother had a very hard time making it back. When I complained to the manager, he HAD NEVER HEAR OF a river kayak before. The manager!!! He asked why we didn't turn around and I said, we were already 20 minutes out. You wanted us to waste 40 min? And we didn't realize it would be so hard. They refunded me one of the two rentals. We drove over 3 hours for this. Barely saw any manatees bc the inlets were so crowded. Total waste of...
Read moreBooked online the night before and it was easy to find using Google Maps. Checked in, inside the Best Western, before heading over to their launch site behind the pool. The whole process was easy and we were off on the water on no time. Four hours is plenty of time to see a lot of what Kings Bay has to offer, we visited Three Sisters Springs, Crystal Spring, and spent some time at Hunter Springs Park before returning. I rented the "crystal clear" kayak and it was fine, but not as smooth sailing as a other kayaks I've rented. It could be because the floats are not installed optimally as a guide stopped me in Crystal Spring to share how they should be installed 8-10 inches more forward to level out the vessel. I did spend at least an hour bailing out the kayak in order to keep it afloat. Provided maps were helpful. Even with the troubles, it was an...
