Franklin Anderson Gallery of Arts — Attraction in Crystal River

Absolutely love this art gallery! I myself am an artist from out of town and have been a fine art vendor at Manatee Fest in Crystal River for the past 3 years. Every year that I’m there I make sure to take a break from working to go browse the Franklin Anderson Gallery. They have so much diverse art from various makers and some of the artists even hang out in the gallery and chat with you while you check out their work. Many art options and a variety of affordable prices too. My mom attended Manatee Fest with me in Jan 2019 & 2020 and to this day still talks about how much she loved this gallery - a memorable part of her visit to Crystal River. I’ve specifically been admiring Valerie Vogel’s work for some time now and finally got myself one of my favorite prints of hers (in attached photo). My friend and I went for a girls trip for the very first time to Crystal River at the end of October & we were not disappointed! I fell in love with & purchased a wire manatee suncatcher. My friend had her eye on the flamingo suncatcher, but didn't get it. A couple weeks after our trip, I reached out to the gallery & Karen Anderson assisted me with purchasing it. and then shipped it to my friend. Two cottages joined together by a corridor, in a beautiful, big tree setting, where a family of armadillos live under the gallery, and occasionally come out to say hello! The gallery is full of paintings, drawings, photos, and crafts by local florida artists. Welder Steve Hyde's animal and robotic creations are a big attraction to the gallery.
