My wife and I have stayed in several very nice NYC hotels, and, for fairly self sufficient travelers (no 24-hour front desk), this place is at least their equal. When my wife and I walked into the Terra Suite, we couldn't believe it only cost $175. This boutique hotel is definitely one of the best deals I've encountered in a hotel. It's very modern, but retains some country small town elements. Our suite was huge with a gas fireplace, 5-shower head steam shower, and high end finishes all around. The upstairs suites have a wrought iron balcony with a small table and chairs. It was great on a fall evening. The bed is like a king size pillow, and there is a large LCD TV with Satellite. We wouldn't have missed the TV too much had it not been there.

Suites at 249 is located within a block of the train station, shops, and some surprisingly nice restaurants. I've always passed Culpeper by on my way to Charlottesville, but I plan to stop in a little more often, hopefully for a repeat stay at this great little hotel.
