I might be the last person on the planet to give bad reviews but people need to know how despicable someone can become when it comes to making money. The service was good they treated me real good every time I was there until they didn’t inform me that my membership was over when I went in for my last LHR . She (Morgan) took me in without letting me know that membership ended a month ago and when i came out she says I should either pay the full amount (300$ ) for 2 medium areas (otherwise it’s 150$) or sign up for a year membership (79$ / month gets taken for 12 months) . When I asked why they didn’t tell me before I got the service that membership ended, or they could have told me during last session when booking next appointment , she said “ I should know when my membership ends and they won’t tell us “ . As It was my tail end of sessions, it didn’t make any sense to sign up for a year and apparently you can’t cancel it unless you move. What a nasty way to lose customers and make money. I even asked her to inquire the owner(jossane) to make exceptions as it’s as their fault to offer services to me without telling me my membership was expired a month ago, no luck ! I loved these guys but left that place with worst feeling ever. It was apparently not sincere! I would never recommend anyone to that place. I can’t wait for an explanation online in this platform so everyone can see for treating a long time customer so poorly in a matter of few minutes to keep me tied in the membership scheme !!! Insincere !!!!
I have never questioned even once of their decisions and spent hundreds of dollars on peels and expensive products etc while I had “membership” . for them not to inform the customer when the membership is ending and making them pay full price or force them to get membership is non- justifiable. The owner trying to degrade a loyal customer online shows how they will treat you if they don’t get their way in any mean way possible ! Truth is the winner even if owner bullies her customers for speaking the truth.
Reply to the owner below: A person shopping at flea market will not spend thousands of dollars on skin care. All I asked for was to be informed of my membership status before offering services so that I can make an informed decision instead of being tricked to either pay horrendous price or get myself into a year of membership which I don’t need . That trickster act is what I have problem with. I was told i should get fillers / Botox for rest of the year to use my memberships which is again pushing services to a customer which they don’t need. That is the core issue here. If you say your customers are flea market bargainers then do know you are a store in a...
Read moreThis past Monday, 03/12, I had a photo facial done and I have had a nightmare of an experience with this Spa ever since. To begin, my appointment was for 4:15 ...I did not meet with the esthetician until almost 5:00. Upon, going into the room the esthetician seemed super rushed going in and out of the room (super unsettling when they are approaching your face rushed with a laser). I made her aware prior to the procedure that my face was susceptible to striping. She then used a high powered laser and I welped in pain (anyone who has ever had this done this before knows that this is a normal reaction and is not abnormal). She then completed the rest of my face with a lower powered laser I later found out. While checking out, I noticed that I had a raised rectangular square on my face. As someone, that has this procedure done almost 10 times, this had never happened to me before so obviously I was super concerned. I brought it to the front desk ladies attention and she approached with an eye roll and monotone voice "well ill have to get a picture of it and send it to the owner." Again, this crappy approach when you are in a bit of a panic mode sucked. When I got home the raised rectangle proceeded to get worse and worse and I called the Spa to be greeted by the unfriendly receptionist that shot me down and told me that she could call a prescription in for me face (which I was like what?!?!? a prescription?!?!?) So, I ended up going back to the Spa and was greeted by the esthetician who I will say is friendly but told me that I would need to meet with the owner for the rest of my face to be fixed. The owner was supposed to call me at 2:00 that day and called me at 7:00 pm and left me a message basically telling me that there was nothing wrong with my face and putting it on me that it was my fault based on my welp that she used a lower powered laser and that she would talk to me about more consultations about what needs to be done to me face...Im sorry but what?!?!?! Not even close to my fault! I am not an esthetician and I would have never done that to someone's face! I will never ever use this place again. Crappy service! And best believe I have been letting people know what happened to me as soon as they look at my...
Read moreI was a client at Spa in the city for 12 years. I found Josanne on Groupon and appreciated the value. Through the years the value and service I received from the revolving door of staff members diminished.
During the summer of 2021 Josanne administered injectables into my chin. From this, I was unable to open my mouth fully and it effected my smile. Josanne also executed a touch up that provided minimal improvement. This horrible experience caused me to lose trust in Josanne’s abilities as an injector.
I went back to Spa in The City during the fall of 2021. In hindsight, I should have never gone back after my botched chin. While checking out the front desk employee offered to refund me the remaining balance because the membership program was changing. I declined, which was a big mistake.
I contacted Josanne directly in March 2022 and asked for my money back in my account. She did not honor what her employee had stated. She knew my request for my money back was the finality of me being a customer and she become contentious. I scheduled an appointment for ultherapy to use my remaining money.
Shortly after my arrival at Spa in The City, Josanne raised her voice and said I was ‘bullying’ her staff because I declined pictures (the staff picture ask and my response is nothing out of the norm. I have physical limitations, that Josanne is aware of) so it’s not a simple request for me.
After the treatment Josanne told me I was rude to everyone all the time, to justify her lack of professionalism. If I was such a horrible client with an attitude Josanne should have been elated to refunded me and been relieved she no longer had to interact with such an individual. I do not understand why my money could not have been refunded like I was told and this interaction would have been avoided. It’s as if she wanted me to come in to chastise and embarrass me. She made our final interaction a hostile experience that lacked professionalism.
‘Excellent care and exceptional results’ couldn’t be further from my experience at Spa...
