Went there to have a nice day with family. But didn't turn out that way. The staff is very rude an insulting. I can see they hire children to run this place. Mexican liftle lifeguard commented on my sisters weight as she went down the slide. Said something on the line of ' the slides gonna break at the end watch' heard that comment an looked for management. She was no help what so ever. Instead of saying something to the young kid she decided to tell me continue with my day or I can leave. This place isn't what they promote it to be. Cant forget standing in 2 hour line outside just trying to get in. I will never bring my family back here. They allow people to use the restroom in the pools. Very dirty. There was a tampon in the last river that was just floating as people tried to avoid it. Letting someone on duty know about it an telling the guests to take it out themselves. Very disappointed with this place. Never again restrooms are very disgusting as well. My daughter ran out and told me there were people on the floor doing something not at a family friendly place. I do not recommend. These are all things that happen my trips there finally fed up...

Love hate relationship for this place...a child drowned my first time being there guard weren’t properly scanning the water this incident could have been prevented, I didn’t see a head guard walking around the park nor did I see any audits going on ie dummy’s floating in the water to ensure skills are being practiced too may kids were running. Maybe it’s the lifeguard in me. I was a life guard for ten years I’ve never experienced a drowning like that to put it into perspective I was a lg over a bahama beach for many years. We always had audits just about everyday not just on in service days, job related question about cpr scanning aed, rescues. There was consequences for those guards who did not pass the audits maybe thinks about taking her and them off the schedule, bathroom duty, paper work..I’m kind of apprehensive about returning because of this they don’t give refunds just rain checks. Please do better and practice skills more and more.

Update I have been since that day. I am sure they have gotten better. I will make a new review when I go this summer. Remember my experience and your experience may be...

The only really good things at that place was the slide & music style. BUT YET be careful on the blue tunneled slide! You stop MID SLIDE & it’s very dangerous . You have to push yourself to keep going. I went on that slide about three times, thinking maybe it’ll change. At one point, I pushed myself so much, yet I hadn’t moved at all. No staff are able to see you struggle since it’s a tunnel and its covered. We asked the staff next to the slides & all he said was “I guess you just have to push yourselves “ . Other than that the white slide was fun, & the park was clean. The bathroom was clean but it didn’t have a decent scent. The dress code was very strict (KEEP IN MIND YOU CANT WEAR ATHLETICS SHORTS OR BASKETBALL SHORTS), but they had their reasoning. To access the diving board, you have to do a swimming test, which is good for safety reasons, so that’s...

We are a German family with 4 kids. We work with Google and other networks to give useful information to the public. In the weeks of summer vacation it's the only opportunity to visit the Dallas aquatics. This spot is real good place but it's also the most expensive. The price is 6$ per person even 2 year olds pay the full price. We payed 36$ for 2 adults and 4 children. There should be lower rates for kids most definitely. The staff is well trained and doing a pretty good job. The concession was sold out, so someone should start managing it. The spot offers 2 big slides, a 3 feet diving board, a climbing wall, a lazy river, a big pool for kids with a depth of 1 foot and a lot of other things to have fun with. All in all it's worth 4 of 5 stars because of the price. Best regards lux. us

When it's summer in Texas, that means extreme heat and folks looking for a way to cool off. In Old East Dallas, that place is the Samuel Grand Aquatic Center, a.k.a. the Cove. For only a few bucks you can enjoy an Olympic-sized pool, a kiddie pool with a splash zone and two big slides. There are two time frames for admittance-12:30 and 4 PM. Your ticket is good for 3 hours after which time the employees chase you off to clean and sanitize. Get there early to beat the crowds. Yes, you can bring food and beverages into the pool area(no alcohol). Have fun while beating the heat at the Cove.

I really dont want to give one star. Iwent on 9/2/18 and it was all nice and stuff in the kiddies area until I looked at my child and grandchildren feet. They were cut skin taken off of bottom of toes and my 2yr feet had like chemical burn. When I spoke to the guy who was over the pool he said the concrete had not settled. So why was the pool open if the concrete wasn't settled? In all reality why didn't he get everybody out of the kiddie part and check for maybe glass cause he dont really know what it was cutting my children's feet.
