Oh boy!!! How can anyone choose from so many unusual, beautiful & yummy things??? I was awe-struck from the parking lot! They have some of the most gorgeous yard ornaments I've ever seen. I wish I had a huge yard so I could stock it full. I found a rooster bigger than me! No...I'm not very big, but this thing was HUGE! And the assortment of plants was unbelievable. Eat your hearts out Home Depot & Lowe's. They have the most amazing collection of colorful wind spinners I've ever seen. I could have lingered in the garden area for another hour just taking in all the glorious colors & fragrances. Inside I found all the most delectable, fresh vegetables & fruits you could possibly want. And over in the corner, sat a whole array of fresh canned jams, jelly, fruits etc....Grandma's pantry. Just as you check out & not to be missed, fried pies, breads & my fav, real peanut pattie! A very nice lady helped me with some plant selection & she knew her stuff. She didn't know that I used to be a landscaping designer & the plants she stirred me away from & others she recommended, were spot on. She was friendly & wasn't in a rush, even though I knew she was busy. She made my business a priority even though it was not a major purchase. I hope this place never closes, because they're the best at what they do. The define what a small town, locally owned, successful business is. This is America in full operation!...

The gentleman who load the really big items (my giant trellis) I didnât catch his name but he is also very sweet and helpful. Sometimes you luck out and can meet the owner who is so much fun to chat with. Very solid business and very reasonable! A lot of locally sourced items here, and some from around the state. Great place to pick up plants, veggies, or take a break and enjoy...
Read moreGreenâs has two parts: the produce section and the gardening section. Both parts have a country store style. Country music comes through the speakers. Yet everything feels well organized.
The produce section has a large display. It has delivery dates of various produce (see photo). You can get the freshest produce on those dates. They have a kitchen where they prepare their packaged salads and fruit. The source of their branded jams, sauces, etc. are local or nearby. Most mushrooms are from Arlington. There is a cold food section on the back wall (see photo). You can find wagyu beef from Ennis. The produce section has garage doors for walls. In summer, try to come in the morning to avoid the heat. In winter, call in advance.
The gardening section is like a nursery. There are annuals, perennials and some vegetables. The trees are limited to short, decorative ones. Some are expensive unusual ones. Yet, I once bought a small maple for a bargain. That maple outlasted all my larger ones. There is an extensive collection of Mexican pottery. They have a collection of...
