Fun little park that was recently renovated (2024). Love that the ground cover is a fake grass instead of wood chips or sand. The play structures are covered which is awesome in the TX sun and needs to be standard for all playgrounds, honestly! There are plenty of climbing opportunities, musical instruments, a push-style merry go round, and several slides. We have been to this park probably five times this summer and have seen a wide range of kid ages playing here and they all have a blast.

There’s a small splash pad next to the playground as well, it looked kind of dinky to me but my kids (3 yrs old) both loved it. (My photos show it with tape around bc it was closed the first few times we visited, but it opened mid-June 2024 and we’ve been back to it and has been open every time since)

There is a decent amount of parking right next to the park, plus restrooms and a large covered area with picnic tables (which is also close enough to watch kids at the splash pad from).

There’s an additional playground right across the street from the larger one which also has parking; it seems geared towards a slightly younger child, but has the same perks as the larger one across the street (shaded, faux grass turf, musical instruments, etc)

My reasons for taking one star off: the small separate playground has had a lot of bees every time we have been there which is not fun to deal with. The larger playground has a really bad smell near the entrance/parking lot - not sure if from the restrooms or the dog waste bins that are also near there but it’s pretty off-putting. Thankfully can’t smell it from the play area but has kept me from using the restrooms because I assume from the stench that...

Love this park. Though it is separated by a street. A covered toddler playground , located on the north side of Smith Berry, is small enough to watch and interact with your child. This side also has a small sandbox style play area , a pavilion, restrooms and walking bridge, and limited (about 4) parking spots. Across the Street is the large part of the park. A newly installed splash pad, marginal parking spaces but with Street parking as well. It also has two covered playground structures for kindergarten aged kids on up & restrooms. This also has a walking/ running trail that is paved. It also has two Bridges crossing the storm Creek. There is a gazebo as well as a workout area and 1 sand volleyball court. The town of Pantego does a great job with these facilities and hosts numerous community events. We enjoy...

I brought my son here for the new playground today, and it’s excellent. I love this playground because I feel that I don’t have to be overly concerned about my son getting hurt. It’s very age appropriate. Usually I take him to a playground and feel like I have to hover around him because sometimes the equipment is too big, but this particular park feels just right. It’s good for ages 2-5/6 in my opinion. There is apparently a little water park area but that part is not set up yet. They have instruments too, which is awesome :) Also there is one of those neat little free...
