Gorgeous!!!! Magical!!! The beach park in Dana Point is a captivating destination. As the sun begins its descent, casting a warm golden hue across the sky, visitors are treated to a breathtaking display of nature's artistry. The beach itself is a haven for fun and relaxation, with its expansive sandy shores inviting visitors in beach games, sunbathing, and leisurely walks along the shoreline. But the magic doesn't end with the sunset. In July, the beach park comes alive with thrilling fireworks that illuminate the night sky, creating a dazzling spectacle that fills the air with awe and wonder. Read moreThis is a thin strip of beach that is eroding and rocky. Not the best place for most beach goers, especially the kiddies since the water is rough. The other issue is the lack of water closets (aka toilets), the train runs by regularly, parking is limited & subject to closure. There isn't much action for surfers since the waves are mostly beach breakers. The plus side is that it's a great beach for rock hounds, and to chill. Mostly a locals hang out and the bike trail access for PCH is nearby. Overall I wouldn't recommend this beach for families, and not for an all day stay since there are no facilities available. Stay well during the time of Covid, and remember to keep that 6'...
Read moreThis is an OC parks beach. The beach is next to a gated/guarded community. Google maps may provide directions that actually take you inside the community. The parking lot is small and right outside the community and it is free to park there. Access to the beach is very easy and north of the parking lot. The beach is rather small and sand is not expansive. The view towards the ocean is uninterrupted and there is a trail next to the beach where you can walk or bike. I personally didn't see any restrooms or life guard stations at this beach. There are no barbecue stations at this beach. I feel that during high tide there may not be enough dry sand to set down a...
