The sunsets are amazing, there are different sections to play in the water, like one for the toddlers, and one for the teenagers and adults. There's a store conveniently next to the beach. Free 15 minute sailboat rides on sundays. A baby pool and splash park, and of course the dock is huge. Plenty of space to sit and take it all in or if you want to fish... that's an option too. It's a great place to be.

Only Kids Splash is great other than that its not worth it. - $35 one time entry fees, if you have to go out to buy lunch or any other reason you need to pay again, they dont print receipt or issue a day pass. - sharp rocky beach, not walking friendly and feet hurts to get in and out water.

First off, I give this place a 1 star simply because Google has no option for negative ratings. This place is not a beach. More like a money grab racket. You have to pay to park inside the little "community" yet there's no parking lot. You basically drive around little narrow streets until you find a spot. Then you hope someone doesn't yell at you to move because the spot is reserved.

The "beach" is really nothing more than a glorified sandbox. It was literally the size of a McDonald's. Just the restaurant not the parking lot. We figured then, since we paid to get in, we'd go check out the pool. I asked a gentleman where it was and he pointed and said following this road and listen for the screaming. He was not joking. The pool was so loud with kids you couldn't even talk to the person next to you. This place is basically a campground except with rental houses not trailers. I would recommend sleeping on a rocky beach before I...

Five generations have been coming to Lakeside! It feels like you step back in time to a place where life is slower. Bike riding, screened-in porches, walks by the lake, swimming off the dock, eating at Sloopy's pizza, with icecream and donuts at the Patio, mini golf, art classes at the Rhein center, throwing rocks in the lake, shows in the Hoover, naps, and family memories that last a...
