I was there today to shop with my mother in law (whom frequently shops there) and 4 1/2 y.o. daughter. We were quietly shopping along and as my daughter picked up a few stuffed toys to show them to me she put them back, Then, about the 3rd one she picked up she didn’t put it back exactly where she got it and the lady working rudely told her she needed to put things back where she got them. We made sure the item got placed where it needed to and exited the store. I feel this was very rude! My daughter was not running around or being loud. She was simply saying mommy look how cute this is… Too bad hundreds of dollars were previously spent here! The shop is very cute and has very cute items but the customer service was rude.

What a cute little store! It's very small & we were lucky we were the only 2 in the store. It's mostly Xmas decor right now. Most of the rest of the store is 1/2 price but there wasn't much there that wasn't Xmas. The woman working there was so nice except she ran down Sloopy's pizza which is my favorite pizza ever. She likes Pizza Hut. Other than that disagreement she was so nice & helpful. One of the things we bought was a ring. We looked EVERYWHERE for it & thought maybe my boyfriend had left it on the counter. We went back the next day (when it was MUCH busier) & another lovely lady was working. Love love this store and all of the character of downtown Lakeside. So many people don’t know this exists or are intimidated by the gate. If you are visiting the Erie Islands, find Lakeside (ask for a free shopping pass at the gate during the summer) and prepare yourself for some restorative retail therapy and friendly conversation.
