DICK'S Sporting Goods — Attraction in Danvers

I'm writing this review because I was absolutely blown away by, not only the phenomenal deals they had on some of my favorite camping, kayaking and sports apparel, (I got a high quality kayak and paddles for under $250!!) but mostly by the outstanding team that works at the Danvers location, in particular a very helpful & personable man named Johnnie (Jonny?) He was incredibly knowledgeable in his department and even helped us find a much reasonable priced car mount (like $39 vs $400 @EMS. NO JOKE) and even walked us through how to set it up.( he came out to our car to show us) Honestly, I love people who do their job well and this kid is amazing at what he does. Kudos to your store. Employee and manager in general was acting as if I was burdening them with my inquiries. They had 4 punching bags in display I was interested in any of them I asked the manager for assistance as he walked by and he instantly looked annoyed . He scanned one said it wasn't in stock them I inquired about the others and without checking he said they also were not in stock. I asked him that if we was sure sure and he said yep. I was going to try and find another employee to help but he tailed behind me and my family all the way to the exit. It was a horrible experience. I don't think I'll be going there again. I was looking at weight sets and had mostly made up my mind and went into the danvers store. Demetrius approached me almost instantly to assist me and lugged around multiple different weight sets from the back so I could be sure I got the right one. Both of the cashiers (a young girl with dark hair and a middle aged lady with medium blonde hair) were super friendly and helped me setup a rewards account in less than a minute. I have never had an experience that involves multiple people in retail where all of them are nice, courteous and care about the job.
