Was disappointed with the size of the portions and the quality. The rolls were very thin around the seaweed as if they were saving money on the rice. And one of the rolls I ordered was the Tempura Sweet Potato Roll. I was horrified to see the manager grab a bag of frozen sweet potato fries! Seriously!? No even battered. Don’t let this depressing mall food court fool you, this is very solid sushi for the price. I was pleasantly surprised. Source: am half Japanese and used to work in two different sushi restaurants in California. Cali roll was $5.50 (July 2023) and unagi avo was $6.50. I absolutely loved this place until today. Where I’m so thankful I looked down while I was eating my gyozi because there was a DEAD BUG deep fried into it. And I’d already driven off so no time to turn around and ask for a refund. Threw out all my food. I love me some protein but this was not the way I imagined hitting my protein goal for the day....
