I've eaten here many times and have always had good food and service. however the other night we took some friends there for a quick dinner (we were going to see a band) and I was completely mortified! The meals (only sandwiches as we were in a hurry) took 30 minutes to come out, as they were sitting in the kitchen for some time and we finally asked again about them. When I finally got my pastrami sandwich it was cold, the bread was burned black and it had the wrong side dish. We couldn't wait for it to be remade at that point and asked that just something to be taken off the price of that one sandwich. The owner/manager came to the table said he had removed the sandwich from the bill and then told us he couldn't understand why people refused to pay for a meal they had eaten!! The total rudeness was uncalled for as i had only eaten the parts of the sandwich that were not burned and the incorrect side was also untouched. The waitress had to go back to the kitchen and retrieve the correct side (we were done eating at that point) that was still sitting in the kitchen. While the bill was being paid, I approached the gentleman and tried to explain that I hadn't asked for a free meal just a price reduction, he refused to listen, said some very rude things and stormed off into the kitchen while I was still talking. Sadly I will never go there again nor will the other...
Read moreWe were only 2 people to be seated inside. Fried haddock tidbits appetizer took almost half an hour. Waitress gave a lame excuse that fish was cut and breaded to order. Ok that whole process would take 10 minutes if you had any competence. Also the "tidbits" are likely bought as is or are scraps that would be good to go. That said Haddock Tidbits and the Crabcakes with mixed greens, goat cheese and pear slices were both Good. Would get again. House Chicken Sandwich also good and had good amount of nice fresh avocado slices.
Iced tea tasted rancid, may have been old but it was awful.
French Onion Soup arrived with the cheese barely melted..not nice and golden brown, gooey and stringy with cheese baked to side of crock. No, just a barely melted clump. ALSO THE CROCK OF SOUP WAS BARELY 2/3 FULL! MAYBE IT WAS THE LAST OF IT BECAUSE IT WAS SO SALTYI COULD ONLY EAT 2 SPOONS OF THE LUKEWARM MESS.
The waitress did remove the soup and tea from bill.
Dont understand what could possibly take so long for some of the food - place was empty! What happens if ever busy?
But.. Would go again and take another shot.
Haddock Tidbits, Crabcakes w/pear salad, and House Fried Chicken Sandwich were all good and would recommend.
Good Luck in these trying times Endicott Grille. Just try to tighten up...
Read moreGood service. Attentive waitress. The bartender also helped out so we never had to wait to get another drink. Crab cakes and pan fried scallops were good. My husband got the peanut butter martini, and he loved it. Very small selection of beers on tap.
The ribeye was problematic. First, it came out rare when I ordered medium rare. Had to send it back to be recooked. It was also really bland. Good thing it was me who ordered it. If it was my husband, he would have had it sent back and demanded a refund because he stops eating if he has to send something back. With the word “Grille” in their name, I expected they would know how to make a proper steak. When we asked for salt and pepper, another table was also asking for them. That says something.
The atmosphere was laid back local sports pub. Country music was played most of the night with some 80’s mixed in. Not sure if it’s because of a jukebox. The place was kind of run down. People generally sat around the bar. There were a few tables occupied...
