7/29/22: Ok, DO NOT FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS THAT TAKE YOU TO HARBOR BLUFF ROAD, INSTEAD, GO INTO VILLAGE POINT PARK PRESERVE! Seriously, unless you have a machete And want to cut through thick vegetation, go to the park next door. Park in the parking lot, and walk down the pedestrian only road in Village Point Park Preserve. As soon as you are on that road, keep your eyes on the woods to the right of you, maybe a quarter of a mile down the road, you will see a boardwalk off on the right, there is a small, unmarked trail that will lead you to the boardwalk & Jackson Oak. There are no signs leading you there, I have no idea why this tree and trail has no historical marker.

very cool trail, its beautiful, especially the centerpiece tree...the vines are cool too! The walkway and patio are great photo ops! Blosm was able to run free and she had a blast!

Interesting piece of local and American history. Not too far down the road to get to. Scan the QR code on the railing to get a brief history of the tree.

While I was disappointed at the lack of signage, inadequate directions (map system took us to a dead end road with no trespassing signs and no sign of the oak) and lackluster upkeep onsite, I was pleased to eventually find the majestic oak and wonder at its significance (I had to wonder because there was no historical marker or other information available there). Hopefully anyone else looking to find the tree will see this and now know to go to the walking trail at Village Point Park Preserve to discover it and several other points of interest marked on a...

Truly a magnificent sight. My kids and I were in awe. The whole trail is wonderful and ends...well...where most trails down here end at some sort of beach. We walked, enjoyed the magnificence that is the Jackson Tree and saw all kids of wildlife and then ended with a picnic on the shore. It was a...
