I was really excited to try Shattered, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The concept of a rage room is fun, but there were several issues that made it less enjoyable.
First, the experience was falsely advertised when selecting a package. I chose a specific package based on what was listed on the website, but when I arrived, I found out that what was promisedâcertain items or activitiesâwasnât actually included. This was frustrating and felt misleading. We selected the date night option, thinking it would be set up exactly how itâs listed but when we got there our table looked like the photo Iâve attached, nothing like a dinner date set for two? It was a table with miscellaneous items on it. And once I mentioned it the employee said âoh I forgot the table cloth?â Which obviously was not going to make it better? We added the enraged packages and got one Tv that was already beat on.
Additionally, the equipment used for smashing were in poor condition, the bats broke with one hit because they havenât been updated recently, the batting tee was broken so couldnât be used, which didnât make for a satisfying experience.
Customer service also wasnât great, our concerns werenât fully addressed and it was dead quiet so we had to ask for music. It didnât seem like the staff was really interested in ensuring a positive experience.
While the idea of a rage room has a lot of potential, I hope Shattered takes this feedback seriously. Thereâs a lot of room for improvement in terms of honesty in advertising, safety, and overall...
Read moreOne and done. Took my kid for his birthday. Shatteredâs FB says âtaking walk ins all weekend.â Cool. We try to book a time online. The $25 fee is going to be $45 after the âonline booking fee.â So we do the walk in thing.
First, thereâs a 15 year old kid running the place. Alone. He tells us they only go by appointments. I show him their Facebook post about taking walk ins. He hems and haws. Then says âitâs gonna take me 15-20 minutes to set it up. Thatâs why we want an appointment.â I offered to leave. No one was in the place but this kid, me, and my kid, and he clearly doesnât want us there.
After maybe 3 minutes, itâs set up. He comes to get payment. Now we learn thereâs a $20 walk in fee. I told the kid to just state that the fee is $45 and be done. He says âthatâs not what I do.â Cool. Got it.
My son had fun. For what itâs worth, the enjoyed the time. You get 20 minutes and you are basically hitting some old coffee cups and junk with a bat.
I confirmed that the kid was 15 and the only person there. I support young people working. But I donât expect them to be great. Someone should be there helping this kid. His customer service skills were as poor as Iâd expect from most all kids his age. The owners need to help him, communicate better, and offer something worth $45. Overpriced, poor service, and low quality activity. We wonât...
Read moreThis place was fun. But I probably wonât go back . Itâs a very small building , so small group, or a waiting period. you only get 20 minutes đ They put used candles in the room?? So not only are you stepping on glass (which is a given) but youâre stepping on the black burnt wax, so melted black wax got all over my shoes. That was my only issue really .. They donât give you any protective gear, except for glasses. I thought they would give you booties for your shoes or a coat for your clothes. I wore my bright pink shoes, they were ruined . :( I got glass in my face , and it bled for a good 30 minutes. Lots of fun for the experience to say I did it . But I prob wonât be back . Stop putting used candles in there so wax getting...
