Maybe I'm just old, but I feel like there just aren't enough brick and mortar bookstores left in the world. And I'll be the first to admit that I buy a lot of e-books on Kindle and Google. However, sometimes, there's just no substitute for the tactile sensation of tree-ware. Barnes and Noble does a great job at remaining relevant in today's economy, too. They do a good job of catering their inventory to the likes of the surrounding community, and stock the store with plenty of complimentary items. Read moreThe staff are always super knowledgeable and kind , they were super patient with and accommodating to my child who has Autism and the manager even used finger spelling ASL to answer my deaf sister's questions. It's always spotless, well organized and well stocked. They even keep the bathrooms clean which is difficult when open to the public. Although there's no Café it's still one of my favorite places to retreat to. Read moreI gave this Barnes & Noble 4 stars as its a perfectly fine bookstore with a decent selection of books and magazines in stock and friendly staff. They do not have as large a stock as some locations and very few of the "collectibles" found at some of their other stores (which may our may not be important to you). Also worth mentioning, there's no in-store Starbucks as in some other stores.
For me, I live a bit closer to the Middletown location which is bigger, seems to have more staff, a larger in-stock selection and a Starbucks so that's my typical store. That said, there's nothing really wrong with the North Dartmouth location its just not quite as nice as...
