Let me start by saying a one star rating is the minimum allowed and is far from accurate. I purchased a washer and dryer set and on the second use had an issue. The washer continuously filled with water cycling in the drain/spin cycle until I manually reset the unit. Otherwise it would continued to do so for an indefinite amount of time using thousands of gallons of water. The dryer on its second use ran for 10hrs and would have stayed running had my son's neighbor not called me worried that something was wrong and could cause a fire. I immediately called the Port Orange location where I purchased from and was dismissed.
The only person (who may or may not ever answer your call) that answered was unwilling to replace these hazardous units even though they had just been delivered a few days earlier. He refused to get me to anyone who may be above him and further encouraged me to write any reviews I liked on any sites I wanted stating "this has been done before"! I reached out to the owner by email, as no one will give a phone number to "speak" with anyone beyond the already helpless salesperson level. I got "canned" responses back from a no named "virtual" person with a continued unwillingness to switch the units out for properly working units.
These were new, in the box units that had been used 3-4 times. All I was asking was to bring me new ones or refund the purchase. I never received a single phone call nor received the name of the "mystery" person responding to my emails. I would highly recommend anyone considering their "cheapest on the planet" pricing to be aware that this will come at a greater cost down the road. These units are a danger to my disabled son and the entire apartment building where he lives. I purchased a 2,000 LEMON refrigerator. They staff and managers LIE and the owner will not reply to any emails or make things right at all. No one will take accountability and replace the refrigerator. The delivery person damaged it in several places , admitted to it yet lied saying her ordered a part and did not, He also did not put the seal on the Freezer, my groceries went bad. The fridge leaks water constantly, temp changes without me touching the controls, so many things going on with it, I cannot use it yet still paying on a LEMON. There is no manufactory warrant on any of there appliance's so BEWARE , they will give you a 3rd party company that is LAME and UNPROFESSIONAL like them and will give you the run around. Once you buy the JUNK there you are STUCK and your money is GONE and WASTED. Its now been 1 year of this, i have had to take them to court and now file more judgments against there company to retrieve my money. The manger Robert wont help , he told me in a loud voice " I don't have to help you, its not my job" What is your job Robert ? I thought " Managers" took care of these things. I have so many things i have been through here , a bit to much to write them all., I hope that you read this first before you corrupt your life with LEMON appliances and SCAM company. Look online and the Better Business Bureau , you will find tons of complaints from customers who they did the same thing to. The company also Stole from there delivery driver's income and the delivery drivers took them to court and won. Its all public information that i wished i had of seen before going here. Unfortunately, upon delivery, the washing machine was found to be in a non-working condition. While the unit successfully powered on, it failed to perform its primary functionâwashing clothes. Appliance Direct scheduled a third-party service provider, RR Appliance Services, Inc., to inspect the unit. After a thorough diagnostic test, the technician confirmed that the washing machine was inoperable. The diagnosis revealed multiple error codes, indicating both hardware and software damage. During the inspection, the technician also mentioned that Appliance Direct receives the highest number of repair calls compared to other vendors. Due to the fact that I was delivered a defective and inoperable unit, I requested a full refund. However, instead of honoring my request, Appliance Direct opted to provide me with a replacement of the same model. In an effort to escalate my concerns, I submitted a written grievance to the district office of Appliance Direct. Despite this, I never received a response via phone or email. After making two follow-up calls to the store, I was finally informed that my case was under review. The lack of professionalism and failure to properly address my concerns made this an extremely frustrating experience. Based on my encounter, I would never recommend Appliance Direct to anyone. Instead, I strongly suggest purchasing appliances from reputable retailers such as Home Depot or Loweâs, where customers can expect better service and accountability.
