I wanna start by saying Iām not upset with the salon, itās a beautiful salon and the stylist was a great person. Where my bad review comes in at is that I came for a barber cut. Iāve never been to this salon and when I started talking about the cut I wanted the stylist stated Iām not very familiar with these cuts or the fade youāre talking about. Now I. Know Iām at a hair salon but Iām a masculine presenting women and I wasnāt very comfortable going to a barber shop in a new town with no real personal recommendations to go by. So I do understand this places specializes in feminine haircuts. What I was going for was a burst fade with almost a modern mullet. Very common modern haircut for men. Now I was coming from long hair undercut aka man bun. So I knew I wasnāt gonna get exactly what I wanted but atleast I wanted the start to the shape of the haircut. The fact in the beginning the stylist stated they werenāt familiar with Iām assuming modern fades, I wish she wouldāve said she wasnāt comfortable because Iām not a very confrontational person I didnāt share with her my thoughts after the fact. But I do want to state to anyone man or women if your looking for a masculine haircut I wouldnāt go here. The fade isnāt done well at all, I definitely do not have a burst fade and infact no modern mullet either I knew I had to go short. But I wanted the shaping to start so I can start transitioning to that hairstyle. I infact got a very high fade with a textured fringe that isnāt even properly sectioned or atleast suitable to how my hair lays. The one side of my head is longer then the other making my hair very strangely lean to one side. I know thereās fault on my end for not speaking up and I donāt think at all the stylist is a bad stylist I just really wish this was shared with me that she or another didnāt feel comfortable with a haircut like this. I wouldnāt have settled. I wouldnāt have been mad. Photos for reference what I asked and I agreed itād have to be shorter, and then photos of what I got. There was another masculine presenting female there that I also believe got a fade and was also very oddly sectioned with not a really smooth transition. Again this is a salon not a barber shop. Was my mistake there just please let your clients know if your not comfortable with something. Again this isnāt a bad review on the salon or the stylist, I most likely wonāt be coming back but I will be sending my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnprofessional to say the least. Worst experience ever. I'm new to the Decatur area and needed a new hairdresser. I wanted to start going lighter. I had medium to dark brown hair. I now have uneven brassy blonde hair with dark roots. When I first walked in I did not feel welcome. The girl at the counter barely acknowledged me and didn't bother telling the girl doing my hair that I had arrived. The girl doing makeup on a client stopped what she was doing and notified her I was there. Once I was seen the girl doing my hair barely spoke two words to me. She had the girl at the front desk help her when she initially started working on my hair. The girl from the front desk started making rude comments like "if we had a better canvas to work with" and "what we do today will be better than what you had...you poor thing going around with hair like that". Never have I been more humiliated. After the first process I couldn't hold the tears back and told the girl I was scheduled with that I just wanted to wash what had been done out, pay and leave. I spoke with her boss and she apologized and offered a discount and that they didn't want me to leave in that condition. So I gave them a second chance. My hair looks horrendous. I understand that my end goal could not be achieved in one visit. I knew that before I made the appointment and informed the girl on the phone what they would be working with but to walk out of there in tears because my hair is worse then when I walked in there is just ridiculous. With a 25% discount for the terrible service I still paid more than I did back in Springfield. Without a discount it would have been a $200 bill or more. Now I have to find another salon today and pay who knows how much...if anyone is willing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in for a skin treatment. I Was told that for my specific treatment that I needed RTF and sculpting. And that it would take 6wks of treatment. I was told that it would tighten my abdominal and reduce the appearance of stretch marks. So I got on their cherry payment plan and after 3wks of treatment, I wasn't seeing any results. I measured my stomach to see and my waist measured the same every week. The pictures told a different story but real life showed no difference. I asked at week 3. If I could stop treatment and pay what was owed for those 3 session and I was told that there was no refund. So I was and is stuck with a $2000.00 payment to pay. I finished the 6wks and by the end nothing was different that was even close to a $2000 treatment. I was then being told during the treatment to purchase a serum from a store to help tightened my stomach. My thing is is that if an $80 product would do the job, why am i getting a $2000.00 treatment that's suppose to do the exact same thing. I was also told to purchase a waist belt as well after i voiced my concerns of no difference. I regret this decision of being promised something that never worked with such a high price. It is a glorified belly massage. The results I received is something i could have done with just detoxing for a couple days. If you're going to spend your money, go get a tummy tuck or lipo. At least you will get the results you were looking for.
Also the expectations weren't mine but was the selling point of the treatment. Never was told the results may vary but what the treatment would actually do. The belt and serum was suggested after I started complaining about not seeing any results in between the $2000.00 treatment. Do not get scammed with any of...
