I recently enrolled in Tess’s 4 week introductory mosaic class. If you’ve been thinking about signing up, I urge you to do it! It includes 4 3-hour classes. You will not only benefit from learning from Tess, but you have access to her vast variety of glasses and tools. Her studio is amazing…such a relaxing atmosphere. It’s like going to a friend’s house for coffee with the added bonus of learning a new skill and producing a finished product. Her husband, Bob, will produce a frame for your finished product and your artwork will be placed in this frame and will be ready to hang. Everything is included in the fee that you pay (lessons, supplies and framing). It doesn’t get any better than this. I do have to warn you, though, that you might become addicted. It was not only a display of beautiful mosaics, it was a display of an amazing array of subject matter, all created with the same meticulous attention that results in fine art. It’s extremely difficult to find an artist that consistently creates mosaics on a level of fine art AND has the interest and motivation and above all patience to take on students without any experience. I completed a 4 week stained glass mosiac class and I’m hooked!!! I can’t be happier with my projects and Tess’s supportive attitude.
