Opera House Gallery of Contemporary Art — Attraction in Delphi

A stunning art gallery in the heart of Carroll County. My wife and I, even though we were shabbily dressed, were welcomed warmly by Deborah Waymire who was on duty that day. She was warm and very informative about all of the art works on display as well as a brief history of the Opera House itself. She has a full range of custom made jewelry on display, many of them one of a kind. We purchased a beautiful print by Alan McConnell of a waterfall in McCormick's Creek State park. We saw "Abraham Lincoln through Song" in February 2016. It was part of the newly restored Opera House's inaugural season that included Jeff Daniel's band. The restoration takes the Opera House back to its post-Civil War appearance, and is a triumph for this small community, recently designated an Indiana "Stellar Community." Located on the courthouse square, the Opera House will accommodate about 250 so it's an excellent venue for the smaller attractions it's booking.
