UPDATE (5/25/2023): I heard from a friend that Cabos is now under new ownership and is a good place to eat again. Yay! I canāt wait to try it and see for myself. š

I used to love Cabos, but itās really gone downhill over the last year or so. I believe they had a change in ownership, but Iām not sure.
The last three times Iāve been there, the employees were prompt and friendly, but the food was awful. One time I ordered a steak quesadilla, and the steak was cooked to the point of leather - I couldnāt even chew it. The next time, I donāt remember exactly what it was called, but I ordered a steak, extra rare - again, it was leather and not even chewable. My friend who prefers her steak well-done even rejected it as inedible.
This last time, I chose to avoid all steak and ordered the cheese quesadilla lunch platter. All I received was the quesadilla. When I asked the waiter about it, he brought me the rice & beans, but not the lettuce, pico, & sour cream. I always give my rice to my adult daughter because she lives it & Iām not a fan. She took one bite of the rice and immediately spat it out into her napkin. The beans were just as bad - they were so watered down they had no flavor at all, and they were so thin they couldnāt be eaten with a fork but only with a spoon.
She and I agreed we wonāt be going back, at least not for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had visited on vacation three years ago and made it a point to return. Our server was kind, but the experience was strange. We tried to order horchata to give our kids a new cultural taste; they said they didn't have any made... Then we ordered our food which was good and came out in a timely fashion, but noticed there was no sauce or veggies on the fish tacos (just fish with salt and pepper) which are advertised with "special sauce" when we asked the server after eating two of the three, they said they were out of Chipotle sauce and asked if we wanted some hot sauce which gave them some flavor, bit didn't really go with the fish. They started vacuuming 5 feet away from our table an hour before closing, bathrooms were dirty and missing soap and paper towels. Our "dessert" was comped without us asking and without explanation, so they at least hinted at the quality of our experience. The margaritas were tasty, but the overall experience was not what we hoped for.
*Edited down to one star from two after tasting my childrens' leftovers: The quesadillas and enchiladas were inedible and the sopapilla was tiny with stale chewy cornflakes inside the "ice cream" that my two year old would not eat. We are not picky eaters.
This is the first negative review I have ever written, but felt compelled to warn other travelers to try...
