What’s the difference between this trampoline park and the other one in town by Bass Pro?? Well I’ll tell you.
I had a membership at the other location for over a year but would sometimes visit this park as well for various reasons. I now have a membership for my kids at this location so I’ve been to both more times than I can count. While both locations have many similarities in common, there is a vast difference.
I’ll make this simple for you guys. Airborne Extreme is cleaner, run better, and is 10X safer for younger children. It’s safer because of the type of clientele that it draws,..much younger and higher quality(is there any other way to say it?).
While they both are run by a mainly teenage staff, the employees at Urban Extreme across town is VERY different—Think of it as more of a rude, prison guard attitude kind of difference. Not all of them of course but it is with plenty of them. Even the Mgr who speaks very loud and rudely over the intercom constantly is obviously frustrated and hates his job. It’s a cultural attitude that is prevalent throughout the stall as a whole. Oh and BTW, if you’re not out of the building by 5pm on Saturday, I can almost guarantee you that your kid will get jumped by a gang of thugs from some of the finest hoods in Baton Rouge,..no exaggeration.
Thankfully, Airborne Extreme has memberships available now as well so I immediately switched as soon as I found out.
While the park is definitely geared more towards a younger crowd, I feel much better knowing that my kids won’t be attacked by others 2-10yrs older than them like what happened across town repeatedly at the gangsters paradise.
Also, it’s not perfect at Airborne Extreme, but I’ve yet to experience a single rude, unhelpful employee (quite the opposite actually), nor can I speak of a single incident where I can point to a deficiency after numerous trips.
To sum things up, if you’re from Compton, you will definitely enjoy yourself much more over at Urban Air by Bass Pro. And if you have younger children that don’t yet know how to defend themselves, then you probably want to bring them over here like I did. Hope...
Read moreVery fun but is a bit expensive for such little time, children under a certain height but make the age requirements are still to small to ride and do certain things, you have to buy there special socks you cannot wear your own. The kids still had a blast it was very fun but once more its way to expensive for the little time you get, it costs a family of 4 over $100 just to get in not including food or drinks, children 6 to 2 are $10.95 and kids under 2 are free only with the purchase of another child's ticket. The seasonal pass is worth looking at if you plan to go alot. Alot of it is for bigger kids in the 8 and up class so some kids get left out of certain things because they don't make the height by a minimal amount, theres no official rule on this on the website nor when you enter, they measure with a crack in the steel beam by the attraction where it happens to be welded and assembled in that spot, which is a random height they do not disclose how tall it is. If prices weren't so steep I would rate a 4 because everything set aside the kids had fun and so did I, just lts price for Time is the buster as you have to constantly run around to beable to play on as much as possible, so get ready to run if you want to see all the attractions, theres no pause time if you want to eat nor if you need to do anything else that isn't involving playing on the course theres no mercy and they call in early, as well as the other problems mentioned above, things could be improved significantly when it comes to there...
Read moreTook my children here for the 1st time as a last outing before school starts. 1st impression was ok, what I would expect. Once we got to the jumping platforms, it was pure chaos. There were only 2 employees manning the entire arena. I watched several children jump on top of other children's heads as they were trying to climb out of the pits. No employee was manning the area. Another child jumped head first into the pit bending her back upon impact opposite of it's meant position. Lots of the kids were double jumping in the main trampoline area. Thats a hazard because the impact of a double jump can leave life long back problems, even paralyze you. One of the only employees on the floor was by the trapeze. She called my son mean when another child tried to skip the whole line and take the trapeze out his hand like he was just suppose to let this kid go?? Then denied it when I confronted her about it. She claimed she told them both to stop being mean. But how is it being mean when you don't let someone bully you into giving them your turn?? In short, there is NO structure. No one around to make sure kids are playing safe. And the staff they do have thinks it's ok to call kids names in intimidation. I won't go back. I went out of my way to try this place out. Parents: If you do choose to go, I'd suggest walking around with your kids like their shadow to make sure...
