Cafe Green — Restaurant in Denham Springs

My new fav place to eat n Denham. Had seen the place for years, was hesitant by outward appearance, (went to Arzi's and Albasha's for yrs instead)...don't let that detour you.

Went by on a Sun bcause Google said was open...disappointed...they aren't. Tried again on Mon, ordered the shrimp po-boy, chicken shawarma salad, fried cheese & Lebanese tea...Omg soooo good. In light of recently noticing popular restaurants not putting the "love" in their food as b4 covid.....I'm pleasantly surprised.

Everything was seasoned just right...fried cheese the best out of all 3 places hands down....good portions, had a special request for my order...they nailed it....out of pine nuts for tea but was ok w that. I called n, waited a few n drive thru, but was ok w that too for freshly made food, overall...

We tried them for the first time tonight after hearing really good things and checking out their reviews. We went in not expecting great customer service because of the reviews but heard the food was good and it was worth the wait time and service to get the food. My husband got the chicken plate and I got the gyro plate. His chicken was extremely dry and my gyro meat was on the bland side. The hummus was extremely bland. We both agreed that the Sabra hummus you get at the grocery store has more flavor. This lady that usually takes the order's was fixing my salad without gloves and I'm watching her the whole time drop my meat on the counter put it back in my box. Wipe her hand on her pants and move her hair from her face and touch my pita bread after doing all of that. When I confront her at the window she lies to my face saying she was wearing gloves the entire time when I'm looking at her knowing she was not! So I got a refund! I would have rated this place 0 stars if I could just disgusting. If she did my food that way there's no telling what they are doing to other...
