I purchased a guitar and a amp here I barely even touched the equipment had it for a couple of days and life happened and I wanted to return the items so I called the store and was told that I could not return the items. In fact, I was told they dont have a return policy unless its an exchange. Buyer beware do your business somewhere else unless you know 100% that you do not have to return the items. This business is cut throat when it comes to returns. I should have asked about the return policy before I purchased the gear, that will not happen again anywhere. This is why I should have stuck with Guitar Center or SweetWater no more small town music stores for me unless they are fair with returns which most are not that is why I quit shopping at smaller stores years ago but I figured I would give one a chance and they do this not surprising wont happen again. I was trying to buy local and keep the business in the town but people just do not appreciate that. So it appears that the owner has replied to my post and judged my "Life Happens" as irrelevant and irresponsible when the owner does not even understand what has happened in my life and was not concerned with it at all until I left a review on Google, interesting. How does this store owner know what I am going through in my life. Again ask yourself if you really want to make a purchase from a store that judges if your "Life Happens" is responsible and good enough before they issue a refund to you and play judge and jury on your decisions and claim that your looking for a bailout because you cannot decide properly before your "Life Happens". And you did mention exchange on our phone call so I dont know why you deny that as well, weird. I like to be able to return items and not have a hassle, if you want to charge a restocking fee then I can do that that is okay and understandable. I may not be in the music business but just because Fender will not let you return it to them and sell the items as new, (which by the way Fender that is a huge black eye in your business policy and really needs to change that is not fair to retailers like Victory Music or anywhere else for that matter) that does not mean that you cannot list the items as open box and charge pretty close to the new price and explain to the customer the products purchase history. I have purchased items at Guitar Center all the time that are open box and used and pay top dollar for them and you have the traffic there in your store it should be possible to sell the items that I bought they defintely are great quality products but I was right to say that your business practices are "Cut Throat" I mean how would you feel if this happened to you. I think you need to start putting yourself in the customers shoes and think how they feel. Sears and Roebuck lasted over 100 years and one of the main things that retained customers over those years was there committment to a no hassle return policy. Customers will be there for you if you treat them fairly looks like many people love your service and your products so what the hell do I know I am just a person that cannot make decisions and does not handle my money properly. I stick to what I first said, think before you purchase here unless you know 100% that you are not going to return the item. The store has quality products and from what I have read it looks like James the owner is a great musical tech as well but I think its the one on one were the business needs some work just one mans opinion take it for what you want...
Read moreWent to checking out their guitars and I was not impressed with the owner at all was not very helpful and didn't offer any help and I was only looking at what they had to sell but I was going to buy me a new axe but unfortunately when I asked him a question he was more interested in looking through his magazine then helping me out with what I needed to know about regarding about a layaway plan for his musical instruments and didn't even acknowledge me at all!.👎
I guess that I will have to look elsewhere for a new axe to grind out on at a different musical store ☹️😞😕
I have only given this place 2 stars because I did like the selection of their instruments but unfortunately I wasn't at all impressed with the owner with not being at all very...
Read morePicture don't do it justice (crap cam quality). I've been taking my guitars to James throughout the years for service and he's THE GUY I trust to work on them. Moisture was attacking this bass from years of storage. Chrome was oxidizing, the neck was warping.. total nightmare. James brought it back to life and restored it to its former beauty (the same day I dropped it off too!) This bass belonged to my cousin and has seen many a gig and in storage for years until recently I wanted to take it to my gig this weekend and James hooked me up just in time too! I was blown away when I came to pick it up. Like a brand new bass! I'll recommend this place to any musicians I know because Jame's work speaks for...
