Argo Park — Attraction in Denver

Was attending kick ball games as a spectator in Argo Park this summer, and while the Park looked great, we found the grass was wet, and sometimes down right soggy with what smelled strongly like sewer water. Very off putting.

Also, Argo Park is a beautiful and obviously popular, well used Park, but the maintenance schedule for the portable restrooms at the baseball diamond is very inadequate. These facilities have been in deplorable condition every time I have gone there. Stinky and the tanks are full to almost overflowing! The smell is so strong that I hate to even park my car within 30 feet of them. They rate number one as the worst port-a-potties I have ever encountered in my life! It’s a pity since they are obviously needed and used by everyone at the park. (Well not everyone… at the last game I saw several people relieving themselves behind the port-a-potties rather than go inside them.) The condition of these port-a-potties must be apparent to the park maintenance crew, so why they have not kicked up their cleaning schedule to at least two or even three times more often...

I really like this park are usually just come here with my kids to play in the grass. But the reason why I especially love this park, is a is that while there may be many of the homeless person in the park, they don't litter, they do not camp, they do use the restroom, they keep to themselves, and most importantly they do not bother other visitors that are there. the police are pretty good at coming by every once in awhile just to make sure that everyone is at peace here at the park and I really appreciate that. during the summer they have a lunch program for the kids who might otherwise go without. I'd rather this place 4-5 stars of I didn't feel uncomfortable once the sun started to go down about 630pm so nowhere near dark. The playground was fun for my kid while we waited on soccer practice to finish. The grass was great for soccer or any other girls sport. However, young kids showed you that didn't look like their meeting was just kids hanging out. One term peed right in the open and they were clearly letting us know we needed to leave. I can't say for sure they were up to no good, but the hand shakes, behavior, and dress all appeared to be organizational and not just friends.
