I’m incredibly sad that I need to write this review in the first place as I’ve been seeing Michelle at Preva for about two years and have received Dysport/Botox, sculptra, filler dissolvent as well as PRF. I strongly caution any one from receiving services here. Michelle is more concerned with the swipe of your credit card and the reputation of her business than she is concerned for your health or happiness with your results. I had had PRF and under-eye filler placed approximately six weeks before I woke one morning with severe eye swelling. I proceeded to call the Preva office several times which they did not answer despite it being during their business hours. (Michelle told me later that it was due to their clinic manager quitting and being short staffed, however their injector had time to post several times on instagram not even an hour later but they can’t answer the phone and speak with their clients when they are scared and concered?) When Michelle did finally get in contact with me she assured me that the swelling is likely “transient” and would pass with time, icing and ibuprofen that it should improve. She assured me that I was far enough out from the original placement of the filler that it was not an infection and that “sometimes people swell and we don’t really know why”. I took her advice and waited while my face continued to balloon for a couple hours. Michelle was quite cold on the phone and she seemed to think that the fact that she called me back and that it was from her personal cell phone that she was going above and beyond for me. As my face was continuing to swell and the pain increasing, I decided I would seek out second and third opinions. BOTH providers from reputable plastic surgery clinics felt strongly that the delayed onset swelling WAS likely an infection and that I should begin steroids, antibiotics and have the filler dissolved immediately to ensure the infection would not progress and impact my health further. While I do understand that any medical procedure comes with risk and it was not necessarily Michelle’s technique/procedure that caused the infection. It is the fact that Michelle would not even consider that it could be an infection. I feel she neglected the possibility of infection stating “these are rare and I’ve never had any client get an infection before”. This may be true, however infections DO happen. It should be considered and not taken lightly.
On top of all of this, Preva’s practice as a whole can use improvement. Michelle stacks her schedule with more clients than she can provide quality care to. She is ALWAYS 15+ minutes late to my appointments, I even waited upwards of 40 minutes at one time for an appointment. Herself and her staff will try to sell you on services that are completely unnecessary and overpriced. She comes across on instagram as sweet and completely invested in you and your results however she is concerned primarily with selling services and making money. Save yourself time and money and take your...
Read moreBeware of Preva Aesthetics. Go somewhere else…there are lots of trustworthy places in Denver. From my experiences this is not one of them.
Recently, I (63 yo F) went to Preva Aesthetics to have Botox/Dysport treatment for the first time in my life. I told the practitioners that I was here for the first time, that I knew little about the products, and that this was a big deal for me. I saw the pricing for Dysport on the website and knew my daughter’s costs were around $250. I expected my costs might be a bit higher given my age. I did not look at pricing of other services as I was not planning to use them.
The Preva practitioner recommended Sculptra in addition to Botox. Since she did not mention any pricing for Sculptra, I thought it would be similar in pricing to Botox. I had no knowledge about the details of the products I received except what the practitioner told me, which was a lot about the benefits of the product and nothing about price. The price turned out to be 5 times what I expected to pay.
I was shocked! The cost of what I received, excluding Botox, was significantly beyond of what I ever thought possible. If I had been notified of the costs, I would not have approved the services. The transparency of this company around costs of services was non-existent and I feel scammed. My bill moved from a $350 bill for Botox to $2500! $2150 more than expected. Unacceptable.
I have never experienced this lack of transparency around costs for medical services. My dentist, my optometrist, and my PCP all share options and disclose costs. Same with my hair stylist and massage providers. Yet, this business shared treatment options and did not disclose costs in person.
I requested a partial refund from the owner business Michelle Paty. She wrote, “Because our booking site lists our prices, clients are always aware of pricing prior to coming in but if they have concerns or want to ensure affordability clients will ask for a price breakdown prior to treatment. But its more common for clients to not ask for this because they are aware of our pricing due to how transparent we are with it, and because they are generally aware of the cost range of such services.” My request was denied.
Business owners cannot expect clients to review their entire website especially for services they do not know about, care about, or expect to use. Think of how much time we would all spend on irrelevant information if this was customary. Product prices were at least one click down and could not be seen on the home page. Posting on a website does not give permission to lack transparency in person, especially for medical services.
From my perspective, Preva Aesthetics is not customer driven but focused on profit over people. Beware. It’s awful to feel like you’ve been scammed. Be...
Read moreI’ve been meaning to write this review for months, hoping to save other women the mistake that I made by coming here. I decided to give Preva and Michelle a try after meeting someone who recently saw her and hearing about her big “specials” she had going on. The day of my first appointment I had to wait for more than 30 minutes to be seen, even though the office was very quiet and I did not see or hear one other client. Then during the consultation Michelle was very persuasive and unsold me on a few different services (Botox, lip filler, sculptra) that were all highly “discounted”- however when checking out the bill was so outrageously expensive I couldn’t believe it. The Botox and sculptra treatments were just ok but definitely not the quality I have received from previous injectors with more experience. But the huge issue I had was my lip filler that Michelle did. Now almost 5 months and thousands of dollars later I am still trying to fix the poor work that she did. Michelle injected huge boluses of filler in my top lip and after the extreme swelling I had went down, my lips were extremely lumpy, bumpy and uneven with a lot of migration to my upper lip! I was horrified and embarrassed but unfortunately could not go back in to see her because I had just traveled to Northern California for a work contract. After many phone calls, emails and texts with sending pictures and videos, I was finally able to get the cost of the lip filler refunded. I had to see an injector where I was in California for 5 dissolving appointments to undo the poor work Michelle had done. She couldn’t believe it herself- bumps were even on the very inside of my top lip and were not easy to dissolve. Now back in Denver and seeing my previous injector that I never should have left in the first place, she is still working on fixing my lips that still look damaged and scarred. She said she has seen multiple of Michelle’s previous clients to fix the poor work she had done, which was shocking to me. So I really wanted to warn others. Please do your research and don’t believe every positive review. The face is a very delicate and potentially dangerous place to inject. In my filler journey I have learned that it is definitely worth it to pay more for a highly trained injector with a lot of experience and a good reputation than choosing based on social media...
