We came here for a friend’s birthday & it was a great experience! We did the Cabin Fever room. When selecting the location, A Game of Rooms caught my attention because it was one of the few in the area that currently has rooms which didn’t have any horror or crime elements, which I knew the birthday girl, who is a puzzle aficionado, wasn’t into (she does not like being scared). It’s definitely a good one for families with kids who want to give an escape room a try- we saw they also have a cute “Detention Escape” room targeted towards younger players. It also was nice that they offer a private experience, so you don’t have to worry about being with strangers.
We appreciated that the staff are genuinely invested in the rooms & experience (v. just hiring anyone who can half-heartedly give the directions spiel). Upon entering, they had set up a birthday sign on the screen which was a really nice touch. Our Operator Andy was very welcoming & we loved that he fully committed as he came out donning a ranger uniform to give us the escape room backstory. He was also very attentive during the game which was really helpful since given we were a group of 3 (with only one puzzle aficionado!) we ended up needing a couple clues. The gameplay is more dynamic & less linear (i.e., even though there are dependencies, you’re able to work on puzzles simultaneously & not just one puzzle at a time). There is a good variety of puzzles & some really cool touches. It’s amazing how much they’re able to creatively squeeze into the space. Very enjoyable, we would...
Read moreHad an awesome time here on a Friday night! My girlfriend booked the Cabin Fever puzzle for us for my birthday and we were the last reservation of the day. There was one group that worked on the same puzzle right before us, so we waited outside until they were done. After that, the staff welcomed us in and wished me a happy birthday and stayed engaged with us while the room was being reset and cleaned. The clean-up was very efficient and we got started right on schedule.
We only had three people in total and although we've done some escape rooms in the past, that was quite a while ago and none of us were very experienced with solving the clues so we were unable to escape haha. That didn't matter though cause we all had fun working on it together. We didn't ask for clues ourselves and the staff continued to let us play as we wanted but also provided us hints when they saw we were really stuck.
We've been talking about doing escape rooms for a while, but never really penned it in until this and I am super glad we did. The friendliness, efficiency, and overall customer service and freedom to play was very appreciated. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying the other rooms with some more friends soon and...
Read moreBack in February I brought a group of six 15-16 year old girls which included my daughter to try and escape the cabin. My wife and I enjoyed being able to comfortably sit and watch and listen to them via live feed on the big screen TV. The person working there was Andy and he was excellent. He gave clear directions to the girls, he explained to my wife and I what was going on. Andy helped the girls when they got stuck to get things moving and was very considerate as he gave them a few extra minutes to complete the room as they were the last group of the night. The girls had a blast and recommend this place. Booking online is the way to go as the spots are sold in real time and if you call to book it, the person who answers asks you the same info you'd have given if you just did it yourself. My experience was that the people who answer when you call are also the same ones setting up and running the rooms. They are busy with that and are therefore understandably distracted and unable to give the highest quality customer service over the phone, but it was definitely made up for with personalized...
