Des Moines Creek Trail is a pretty awesome place in the middle of a pretty chaotic environment be aware there is noise pollution Galore also there has been many issues with the parking and having vehicles broken into it was suspected that there was a lookout who would wait until people wear a certain distance down the trail and then would signal to those in the nearby wood to proceed with violating vandalizing and stealing whatever they could out of the vehicles so as far as I know and as far as I'm concerned I take everything with me I leave my vehicle unlocked and that seems to give them the impression that there is nothing of value or worth their time but these are just suggestions for somebody who's been using the park for a number of years and I don't know that it's still an issue
But the walk itself is wonderful you can start either from the Des Moines Marina or at the top from right across from the old golf course I don't remember the name but either way it's nice it's a good walk to have your pets on leash or it's a really fun longboard and or bike trail just be aware stay on your side and make people aware of your presents when you're approaching there's some side Trails a little John sauce to individual Adventure but a great place to take a dog remember your poop bags and also it's a good place to meet...
Read moreLove this spot especially for longboarding it's fun it's cool it's convenient it is not to terribly overpopulated during the winter which is when I prefer to utilize the nicely paved smooth slight elevation terrain I will mention that there has been in the past and still continues to be issues with car prowling in the parking lot so you have to take some precautions to ensure that all your things are secured and all your valuables are not visible I have a tendency to take an old truck that I keep around for dump runs when I'm there and utilize that because it doesn't look like there's anything in it or about it that would interest anybody but that is my main concern with this Park trail other than that it's not very scenic and it's not a trail that unless you're running or as stated using longboard on that's very varied it's pretty steady gradual and easy so and you know there are some interesting things to observe on it but nothing to ride home about but if you need a quick short local...

It's really sad to see this little piece of nature that was left beautiful little place being commercialized.20 years ago my daughter and I used to take her bikes up there and ride the trails School bike trails it was also five star rating over the years it's went from a five star to a 2 star by the end of the summer they will clear cut and industrialize so much of it, it will only be worth a...
